Keanu Reeves was spotted arriving to the airport in Los Angeles on Friday with a mysterious new woman at his side.

The 49-year-old Point Break actor, who grabbed their luggage himself, was soon met at the airport by a chauffeured limousine.

Beirut-born heartthrob Keanu was returning home from filming scenes for his role as a defense attorney in upcoming drama The Whole Truth in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Keanu dressed for his air travel in distressed denim jeans, a gray Emerson Brand knives t-shirt, a blue blazer and beige shoes.

Reeves did all the heavy lifting, carrying two large bags - a gray duffel and black messenger bag.

If the mysterious woman he was with is in fact a new love interest, it appears she's had a positive influence in the actor's life, considering he looked nicely dressed and clean shaven.

Meanwhile, the star has said he will not be involved in the planned remake of 1991 hit surfer movie Point Break, where Luke Bracey will take on his role of undercover FBI agent Johnny Utah and Édgar Ramírez will play Patrick Swayze's surfer and bank robber Bodhi.

'Absolutely not. It's not my place,' Keanu told the BBC back in December. 'If they can find a way to do it that works out good, then God bless them.'

Voicing the fears of many fans who are against a remake of the cult favourite, he said: '[It] sounds very exciting - but is it a good thing? I don't know,' adding that some films should have a 'no remake clause.'
