After Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams was found dead at his home in California at the age of 63, we look back over the movie moments the star will be remembered for.

From Good Will Hunting, Mork & Mindy, and Hook, to Good Morning Vietnam, Awakenings and Mrs Doubtfire, the well-loved actor kept audiences gripped.

Here, we reveal 10 of Robin Williams' most memorable comedy moments... 

1. Good Will Hunting

Williams stars as psychiatrist Sean Maguire, who helps mathmatical genius Will Hunting (Matt Damon) to reach his full potential. The dramatic scene when Maguire holds Hunting's face and repeats 'It's not your fault' over and over again is an emotional pivot point in the film.

2. One Hour Photo

In the psychological thriller film One Hour Photo Williams left behind his comedic background to play the haunting Sy Parrish, a photo developer who becomes obsessed with a young family after developing their photos over many years.

3. Good Morning Vietnam

Williams played a DJ in the 1987 war comedy which helped elevate him to superstar status. Amazingly most of the scenes in which Williams is broadcasting on the radio were completely improvised.

4. Mrs Doubtfire

Just one of the many hilarious scenes in the comedy film where Williams is disguised as a woman, Mrs Doubtfire exclaims 'This hollandaise smells like burnt rubber' before realising that she has set her prosthetic boobs on fire

5. Mork & Mindy

Williams came to fame in sci-fi TV show Mork and Mindy, playing an alien who comes to Earth from the planet Ork in a small, one-man egg-shaped spaceship. In this famous scene he talks to an egg proclaiming 'go,be free' before it splatters to the kitchen work top.

6. Dead Poets Society 

Nominated for Best Actor in the Academy Awards, Williams played Professor Keating, an unconventional English teacher, who inspires his students to love of poetry and learn from a different approach.

7. Hook

Williams slipped into Peter Pan's iconic green tights and donned eyeliner in Disney's 1991 film Hook, in which his character must be reminded of his youthful ways by the Lost Boys.

8. We Are Most Amused comedy for Prince Charles 60th birthday

At a gala event held at the New Wimbledon Theatre in 2008 Williams called out to Charles, Prince of Wales, and his wife, Lady Camilla Bowles 'Chuck, Cam, great to see you. Yo yo, wussup Wales, House of Windsor, keepin' it real!'

9. Johnny Carson Tonight Show

It was Williams' first appearance on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show when he had to calm himself down after taking a snipe at the sound technicians microphone hovering above his head and shouting 'Look at this thing, look flipper.'

10. Awakenings

The memorable and poignant line from the drama in which Williams plays neurologist Dr Malcolm Sayer. 'The human spirit is more powerful than any drug and thatis what needs to be nourished with work, play, friendship, family. These are the things that matter.'
