Blondes do have more fun! Catherine McNeil as she's never been seen before with platinum locks in a daydream photo shoot for MUSE Magazine

By Amy Croffey For Daily Mail Australia

Aussie model Catherine McNeil recently tried out the theory that blondes have more fun when she swapped her natural brunette locks for platinum tresses in an edgy photo shoot.

Almost unrecognisable as she poses for the latest issue of MUSE Magazine, the beauty dons a very sleek mid-length hair piece.

The theme of the issue is 'Integrity', and all based on Catherine's story.

Titled My Favourite Daydream, the series of photographs are meant to translate as a daydream where Catherine appears in various looks and locations throughout, with the idea she is dreaming it all up.

Wearing a silver coat featuring neon stripes in one snap, the stunning model looks lost as she poses at night, while in another she stands against a wall looking forlorn.

For the cover, she is back to her old self with her brunette locks cascading around her shoulders.

And in another shot Catherine wears a grey fur coat, tilting her head back against a window overlooking a winding lane way.

The A-list model is currently spending time in the UK with her rumoured new squeeze, photographer Emily Hope.

McNeil, who has modelled for fashion houses D&G, Versace, Donna Karan and Jean Paul Gaultier, appeared to be quite broody in a snap she posted on Wednesday in which she is seen bottle feeding an adorable baby.

The pair spent last week in France posing intimate shots as they lounged by the pool.

McNeil was previously engaged to Australian model Ruby Rose and most recently, British male model Miles Langford.
