Not quite ready to put her feet up, pregnant actress Rosamund Pike did what only she can do and ensured all eyes were on her at the London premiere of Hector And The Search For Happiness.

Held at The Empire in Leicester Square on Wednesday evening, the 35-year-old stunned in a caped black high collar mini-dress.

Joined by co-star Simon Pegg, Pike proved victorious in the style battle against her female counterparts as she walked the red carpet.

The London born actress, who announced her pregnancy in June, teamed her dress with a pair of black T-bar heeled sandals which were embellished with rhinestones.

Giving the option of jewellery a pass, Pike wore her blonde locks back in an updo while she sported bright red lips.

Despite winning the fashion stakes for the evening, it seems that television presenter Laura Whitmore beat Rosamund to debuting the dress as she donned the exact same frock in white on Tuesday evening to the premiere of Daniel Radcliffe's new film, What If.

Speaking about the film, Simon told the Independent: 'The thing about Hector is that he sets out to find out what makes people happy but he is really trying to find out what makes him happy, because he has no happiness.

He added: 'A lot of us still go through life regarding love and sex as we did when we were seven. And we take that into adulthood.'

The film is adapted from the 2002 debut novel by François Lelord, a French psychiatrist.

Simon and Rosmund were joined at the screening by Tracy Anne Oberman, Barry Atsma and Togo Igawa, who also star in the film, as well as director Peter Chelsom.

Showing their support Pegg's wife Maureen and longtime friend and collaborator Nick Frost were also in tow as were Amanda Abbington, Diana Vickers and Lizzie Cundy.
