Crop tops were invented for Rose McGowan's midriff.

The Charmed actress, who turns 41 next month, flashed some enviable abs in a leather midi skirt and crop top combo as she headed out for dinner at a-list hotspot Craig's in West Hollywood on Wednesday, proving that you should always flaunt it, if you've got it.

Making her entrance in caged black boots, the brunette beauty sampled a high fashion look with her newly-cut fringe styled into a wet look effect and swept over to one side.

Rose, who married her long-term beau Davey Detail late last year, ensured all eyes were on her in orange, cutting a fine slimline figure in the tight-fitting patent number.

While flashing her midriff, the star kept it ladylike in the skirt, which cut down to her calves to reveal her model like pins.

She perfected one of her key looks, a wet look hairstyle that could have come straight from the catwalk, keeping her make-up look understated with a slick of lip gloss.

She debuted a new fringe at a movie premiere in Hollywood last week, emulating vintage Hollywood glamour with an old fashioned bob.

But for dinner on Wednesday night, it was all about a modern look.

With a tiny gap between her crop top and her high-waisted skirt, the actress shared a peek at her well-defined abs, boasting a physique fit for someone half her age.

Her arms were toned in the sleeveless crop, though she didn't need a Hollywood tan to flatter her shape as she stayed natural with beautiful porcelain skin.

Rose has recently finished filming The Tell-Tale Heart, based on Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart and due out later this year.

The film, in which Rose plays Ariel, is a haunting account of a tormented man, played by Peter Bogdanovich, who continually re-admits himself into a medical facility, in a futile attempt to escape from his pending madness.
