Took whatever you liked? Rapper T.I. sued for $100,000 after being accused of 'stealing' concert stage equipment
He may not like any mediocrity in his life, but T.I. has a lot of paperwork, and headache, headed his way.
Sued: T.I. pictured in June, has been hit with a lawsuit accusing him of 'stealing' a very expensive piece of state equipment
The 33-year-old rapper has been hit with a lawsuit accusing him of 'stealing' a very expensive piece of state equipment.
According to TMZ, the suit alleged Whatever You Like hitmaker failed to return an integral part of his stage for his tour last year.
A rental company is claiming the rapper - who currently has hot single Mediocre with Iggy Azalea - did not return what is known as a drop roll.
Essentially a giant screen, the drop roll was the centrepiece of his stage performance for his and Lil Wayne's America's Most Wanted tour last year on which he projected video and photos.
TMZ, who has seen the lawsuit reports: 'T.I. paid the rental fee but according to a new lawsuit... when the concert was over the rapper didn't return the roll drop.'
The drop roll is worth $50,000.
However, the company is suing for double that claiming it lost revenue as it was not able to rent it out to other performers.
There has yet to be a response to the suit from the Mediocre rapper's camp, so the drop roll's whereabouts remains undetermined.
However, the rapper is no stranger to the legal system, albeit more acquainted with the criminal side of the courts.
Born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., T.I. has served three terms behind bars - twice in a county jail for probation violations and 11 months in a federal prison on a weapons charge after being accused of buying machine guns.
However, it was not time wasted, during his sentence he released his seventh studio album.
Hard to miss: A rental company is claiming the rapper did not return what is known as a drop roll, a giant screen that is used to project video and photos, believed to be this one behind T.I. in 2013
