She usually goes for a rather grunge and punk style.

But Demi Lovato looked especially sophisticated as she greeted hordes of fans in New York City on Saturday.

The 21-year-old pop star donned a short elegant black dress paired with an oversized blazer featuring sheer sleeves.

The Really Don’t Care hitmaker strutted her stuff in black pointed-toe pumps and carried her belongings in a glossy black purse.

She shielded her eyes in Ray Ban aviator shades and accessorized with a beaded necklace featuring a moon shaped pendant.

Demi is likely in a celebratory mood, having swept up Choice Summer Song for Really Don’t Care featuring Cher Lloyd as well as Choice Summer Music Star: Female at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday.

It was tough competition, with the Heart Attack hitmaker beating out Iggy Azalea’s Fancy, Calvin Harris’ Summer, Magic!’s Rude, and Jason Derulo’s Wiggle for the first award.

She triumphed over Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Becky G, and Nicki Minaj for the latter accolade. 

Demi is resting up for a few weeks before launching her Demi World Tour on September 6 in Baltimore.

The first leg will weave across the US and Canada until late October with singer Christina Perri and duo MKTO as opening acts.

It was also recently revealed that Demi recorded a duet with Nick Jonas on his upcoming album.

The former Disney stars are good friends as Nick served as musical director on Demi's Neon Lights Tour earlier this year.

While the name of the song has yet to be revealed, Nick, 21, recently spoke to E! News about the collaboration.

'It's a great song that we both love,' the Chains singer revealed. 'Her voice is just amazing on it. She's the real deal. It's the perfect fit for this record.'
