Who's the better James Bond? Pierce Brosnan loses to Jimmy Fallon playing his own video game GoldenEye 007
The question of who was the best James Bond is one that has been debated by cinephiles for decades.
But when it comes to the Nintendo 64 video game GoldenEye 007, Jimmy Fallon (who has and never will play Bond in a film) beat one of the franchise's most beloved actors to ever don the mantle of the MI6 agent.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Pierce Brosnan, 61, was challenged by the late night host to a virtual duel.

Challenge accepted: Jimmy Fallon dared Pierce Brosnan to play him in the Nintendo 64 video game GoldenEye 007
'I love all of your movies,' Fallon gushed. 'They are all on Blu-Ray now and I have like 20 collections of all the James Bond stuff.'
Adding: 'But one of my favourite things was the Nintendo 64 GoldenEye. This is one of the best video games of all time.'
After Fallon introduced the video game, Brosnan admitted: 'I was no good at it. I played it once and shot myself in the foot.'
Trouble: The 61-year-old had some difficulty locating a weapon
Perhaps seeing an opportunity to best the action hero in a battle of wits, the SNL alum challenged him saying: 'Well, I was wondering - this is a childhood dream of mine or college age dream - I'd love to play it with you.'
The two then stand in front of a large screen and begin to ready themselves for a showdown. Brosnan, however, cannot figure out how to locate and pick up a gun.
Meanwhile, the chat show host was clearly an experienced gamer, and tracked down the 007 favourite with ease.
Shoot to kill! Fallon took out Brosnan's James Bond avatar
Still friends: The pair shared a hug after the duel
Props: The two men congratulated each other
Upon locating Brosnan's avatar, he unceremoniously shot down the unarmed man - but it took more than a few tries to kill the star.
'Whoa how are you still alive? You're like the real Bond! Don't play the real bond in this game,' Fallon exclaimed before finally killing his opponent.
'Jimmy, I thought you liked me?' Brosnan said humorously.

'No, I love you.'
'I love you too,' the dapper star replied before embracing the younger man.
Brosnan's latest film is another spy caper called The November Man, where he plays a former CIA operative and will hit theatres on August 27.
