Holed up: Lady Gaga goes for punky styling in tartan and ripped fishnet tights... before slipping into a racy pirate-inspired ensemble (complete with eye patch!)
Lady Gaga looked like a cross between Cher and the Bay City Rollers on Thursday as she took to the streets of Melbourne pop-punky fashion.
The singer stepped out in a red tartan jacket, with a studded bodice and ripped fishnet tights that looked like it had been borrowed from a Turn Back Time video.
With a dark curly wig on her head and statement round sunglasses covering her eyes, Gaga, 28, wore a smile on her face the day before Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For hit US cinemas.

Ahoy there! Keeping her favourite ripped fishnets with a pair of black stockings and the same patent lace-up platform boots, Mother Monster later wore just a black nautical-inspired jacket with satin ruffle trim detail
And it wasn't long before she traded in her look for an equally bizarre ensemble, appearing to opt for a spot of pirate fancy dress.

In keeping with her somewhat unusual look, Gaga completed her outfit with a pair of eye-patch glasses and a black satin and pearl headpiece.

The singer plays a small role in the sequel to Robert Rodriguez’s neo-noir anthology film based on Frank Miller’s graphic novels.
As waitress Bertha, Gaga appears in the story The Long Bad Night opposite Joseph Gordon Levitt.
And it seems that the singer’s penchant for wigs paid off as she brought a number of her own to film her scenes in Texas.

‘We were shooting and it was just a couple of days away,’ Sin City 2 co-director Rodriguez said. ‘She was ready. She brought her own wigs!
‘I said, “We're not going to have time to make a wig for you.” She showed up, we did the scene, she knocked it out of the park and then she was back on tour.’
Lady Gaga had previously appeared in Rodriguez’s Machete Kills, and the filmmaker certainly believes the New Yorker could have a lasting career on screen.
