Liberty Ross led the way on Friday evening as fashion brand Genetic denim launched her debut collection.

The 35-year-old model caught the eye in a monochrome print miniskirt that displayed a pair of nicely toned legs as she greeted onlookers with a warm smile.

Liberty teamed it with a sleeveless black top, while on-trend ankle boots completed a stylish look ahead of what proved to a be a successful launch night for the Los Angeles based brand.

The British model was in high spirits as she rubbed shoulders with fellow guest P. Diddy, who cheerfully posed for a snap with Liberty shortly after proceedings got underway.

Also in attendance was Wendi Deng Murdoch, the Chinese-born American businesswoman and wife of divisive newspaper magnate Rupert Murdoch.

Arriving without her husband, the 45-year-old embraced a seasonal theme of sorts by wearing an off-she-shoulder summer dress with a distinctive blue and red print.

The event, marked to unveil Liberty’s debut collection for Genetic denim, also included an appearance from director Liz Goldwyn, who was warmly greeted by the night’s host after arriving in a bold patterned evening dress that was more than a match for Wendi’s.

Fresh from giving close friend Oprah Winfrey a soaking during the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Gayle King made an entrance in a zesty yellow ensemble before mingling with her fellow guests – amongst them rap icon Dr. Dre.

Dasha Zukhova, the wife of wealthy Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich, opted for a comparatively simple blue sweater – but her colourful floral print skirt gave the overall ensemble a seasonal flourish.

Liberty’s new collection features two gold fabrics that represent London and Los Angeles – the two cities closest to her heart.

‘It’s for the two different Libertys,’ the Malibu-based model and fledgling designer told The Hollywood Reporter, adding: ‘The first years of my life were spent in a roller disco in the early ‘80s called Flipper’s… it was a real riotous incredible time. I am slightly obsessed with the place.’

Liberty’s recent divorce from director Rupert Sanders, the result of his fling with actress Kristen Stewart, led to her keeping three of the couple’s four homes, earn £23,000 a month in spousal and child support and a percentage of some of his future film earnings.

The 31-page divorce document filed in LA Superior Court – which cites the grounds for divorce as ‘irreconcilable differences’ – also awards Ross eight per cent of Sanders’ gross income exceeding £1 million a year, half his pension plan – and even half of his credit card reward points.

Vogue model Ross, who will remain in the couple’s £1.2 million Hollywood Hills home and gets ownership of two other properties in London’s Waterloo and Ladbroke Grove, will also receive half of Sanders’ ongoing earnings for Snow White And The Huntsman in which, ironically, she played Stewart’s mother Queen Eleanor. The film has earned more than £230 million at the box office.
