She hasn't put a step wrong in the fashion stakes as she jetted around the globe promoting the highly-anticipated new series of Doctor Who.

But actress Jenna Coleman saved the best for last as she returned to London for the official premiere of the first episode on Saturday.

The 28-year-old looked sensational in a chic-yet-sexy tuxedo jacket dress which accentuated her fabulous figure.

Never one to go overboard with her hair and make-up, the actress oozed sophisticated glamour as she greeted hundreds of fans from a balcony at the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square.

By her side, as ever, was new Time Lord Peter Capaldi, who has also been on the whirlwind, five-continent trek to boost the hype surrounding his appointment as the 12th Doctor.

The pair lapped up attention from their devotees - known as Whovians - before the official screening of Capaldi's full debut episode, Deep Breath.

The critics have also been impressed by the In The Thick of It Star, with the Mail Online's Jim Shelley saying that the actor has the 'type of wily charisma that makes it a role he was born to play'.

Coleman also won acclaim for her return as sidekick Clara Oswald, her second series playing the character.

Meanwhile, viewers were thrilled to see one last appearance from Capaldi's predecessor Matt Smith, who made a short cameo at the end of the episode.

The next installment of the series sees the duo visit 'the most dangerous place in the universe', while the Doctor's most terrifying nemesis, the Daleks, return.
