Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has appointed new Foreign Minister Petro Poroshenko to the National Security and Defense Council.
Yushchenko signed a relevant decree on Monday on amendments to his
decree on the composition of the National Security and Defense Council.
The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, approved Poroshenko's appointment as Ukraine's new foreign minister on October 9.
