The police visited her Sydney home at 4am after the singer/actor was disturbed by a man.

The 34 year old only moved into the property recently - two weeks ago she posted a shot of her sitting enjoying some sushi in her backyard with the caption: 'In my garden at my NEW house. #Essentials #NoElectricity #NoFurniture but...#PlasticWineGlasses.'

Sources close to Monk told The Daily Telegraph that even though she has changed her address numerous times recently, Sophie is anxious and on edge because she has had a stalker.

Tasmanian man James Scott McCabe, 30, was due to appear in court for a third time, after police alleged the cyber stalker sent Sophie messages of a violent, offensive, sexually explicit nature.

They also allegedly included threats of harm which were aimed at her family and friends.

Sophie returned from LA just over a year ago to take up a permanent role on the 2DayFM breakfast show.
