it's a good thing fitness expert Jillian Michaels keeps herself in tip top shape as her active duties as a full-time mom often require her to put her muscles to work.

And Sunday was no different as the 40-year-old was spotted leaving a grocery in Malibu, California, while accompanied by her daughter Lukensia.

The personal trainer and TV personality had her hands full with grocery bags after exiting the shop as she led her adorable girl by the hand.

Despite juggling all their purchases without the help of a basket or cart, the doting mother managed to free up a hand to hold with her adorable four-year-old.

Jillian covered up her long brunette locks in a brown newsboy cap and pair of gold-rimmed aviator sunglasses for the outing.

The rest of her casual outfit included a faded Black Sabbath T-Shirt, skinny blue jeans, and a pair of sandals.

Balancing act: Despite having to juggle all the purchases, the former Biggest Loser Star made sure to keep a hand free to hold with her eldest child

Doting mother: The American fitness trainer looked down and smiled toward Lukensia as they walked hand-in-hand during the errand trip

She looked quite pleased to be on the outing as she looked down adoringly at her daughter and smiled while lugging around two large carriers and a bag of dog food tucked under her arm.

Lukensia matched her mother's look as she wore a black top, jean shorts, and sandals with a red backpack hanging off of her shoulder.

Not seen on the outing, however, was Jillian's partner Heidi Rhoades and their two-year-old son Phoenix.

No doubt Jillian has been enjoying the extra time with her children after leaving her hit show The Biggest Loser.

The star was recently seen attending a kickball game with her eldest to support the Dave Thomas Foundation For Adoption in Los Angeles.

Jillian is quite familiar with the charitable cause as she adopted Lukensia from Haiti in 2012.

The mother-of-two looked happy to be accompanied by the pretty youngster as she glowed while posing for photos during the athletic event.
