There was never any doubt that Gabrielle Union would make for a stunning bride on her wedding day.

And in the first photo released from her fairytale nuptials to Dwyane Wade, which took place at the Chateau Artisan in Miami on Saturday, the actress certainly didn't disappoint - and neither did her dapper husband.

For her first of two dresses, the 41-year-old chose an ethereal couture Dennis Basso ballgown, featuring a sweetheart neckline with flattering gathered detail, cinched waist and full skirt with
a sexy high slit.

Her gorgeous exposed skin was glowing, the actress simply radiating happiness on her special day as she exchanged vows with the man of her dreams in a reported $5 million extravaganza.

A voluminous sheer white veil added a touch of drama and glamour to her overall appearance,
while she kept her accessories to a minimum, with just a pair of simple diamond stud earrings complementing her $1 million 8.5-carat Jason Of Beverly Hills engagement ring and sparkling
new wedding band.

Her long dark brown tresses were worn in a chic quiffed updo, her stunning face framed by loose curled tendrils.

Her make-up was impeccably applied, with a dewy complexion, smoky eyes and soft pink glossy lips.

Her 32-year-old Miami Heat shooting guard groom scrubbed up impeccably in a crisp white Dsquared2 custom tux and a matching silk Wedding Collection bow tie which he designed himself from The Tie Bar.

A boutonniére by Floral Fix matched his bride's stunning cream bouquet of roses.

In keeping with their white theme, the couple's female guests also donned the pristine hue, while the men kept with tradition in black.

According to reports, the intimate ceremony, which was attended by Dwyane's two older children from his previous marriage and his nephew, whom he's helping to raise, saw a performance by R'n'B superstar John Legend.

The couple's reception was set up like a '1930s era juke joint', with guests sipping on Vanilla Puddin' Chardonnay.

When it came to choosing her wedding dress, Gabrielle had a firm idea of exactly what she wanted from the very beginning.

However, upon meeting with designer Dennis Basso at New York's Kleinfeld Bridal salon, it seems everything she had envisioned was thrown out upon trying on gowns, People reports.

'Like most brides to be, Gabrielle came in with her stylist Jason Bolden with a clear vision. But everything changed when she tried on gowns!' the designer tells People of their first appointment
in May.

'Together [we all] decided that she wanted to be surprising. She came in wanting sexy, and to accentuate her amazing figure, but that evolved.

'She talked about Dwayne being so fashionable and really wanting to parallel that with her gown,' he continues. 'We looked at swatches, took measurements, even considered what flowers she would carry. It was an amazing collaboration.'

Speaking of the end result, which was undeniably breathtaking, Dennis revealed just how much intricate detail went into the design.

'We literally built the entire bodice and corset specifically for her. The entire dress is hand beaded with pearls and crystals. She wanted something that glistened without looking too "cha cha cha", still chic,' he explained.

'The material was flown in from Italy. The skirt is perfectly draped to accent her shape and the slit gives the opportunity to show off the shoes and her great legs!

'Literally, she looks like a living doll - her waist is extraordinarily tiny in this gown! Gabrielle was all about creating a fashion moment.'

Gabrielle herself revealed of the first of two gowns she would be wearing on her big day: 'Dennis, Jason and I worked together to choose the perfect fabric, silhouettes and finishing details for not just one but two gowns.

'The two looks are near opposites and play off one another - Dennis Basso was able to capture both my unassuming and womanly sides through his sketches.'

Taking to Instagram on Saturday evening, Basso posted a sneak peek of the dress as he posed with the blushing bride-to-be at their final fitting.

'Congratulations to the beautiful bride @gabunion and @dwyanewade she looks amazing in my gown #wedding #marriage #love #couture,' he captioned the image.
