Dream team! Brad Pitt and Robert De Niro get to work on new James Packer produced casino film directed by Martin Scorsese
It's a dream collaboration - Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio starring in a casino film directed by Martin Scorsese.
And on Sunday the highly-anticipated project began filming in New York, with Pitt, 50, and De Niro, 71, arriving on set in sharp suits.
The hunky Fight Club star, who is fresh from his wedding to Angelina Jolie in the French Riviera and a honeymoon near the island of Malta, looked to be in high spirits on the overcast day.
Back to work: Brad Pitt was spotted on set of a new short film with Robert De Niro on Sunday in New York, after marrying Angelina Jolie in the French Riviera last week
And the actor's good mood was surely the result of having the opportunity to work alongside not only De Niro but also legendary director Scorsese.
Pitt was sharp in a dark suit as he sported sunglasses while De Niro opted for a grey suit and thin tie for the day of shooting.
The movie, however, is just a short made for James Packer's line of casinos and resorts and not a feature length project.

RatPac Entertainment told MailOnline: 'The short film is being produced by RatPac's Brett Ratner and RSA's Jules Daly.
The short will premiere next year at the opening of Melco Crown's newest
movie themed resort Studio City in Macau and be used to support the
company’s expansion in Asia and globally.
'This is an unprecedented collaboration because it’s the first time Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio ever worked with Martin Scorsese together in the same film. Leonardo has done five films with Mr. Scorsese and Robert De Niro has done eight with Mr. Scorsese but never together.'
Meanwhile, Pitt was reportedly on his honeymoon in the Mediterranean earlier this week after tying the knot with longtime partner Angelina Jolie.
The New York Post's Page Six revealed that he and his new wife had paid locals on the island of Gozo to skip town.

Dream team: Pitt and De Niro are teaming up with Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio for the short
Angelina and Brad arrived on the Mediterranean island close to Malta last week and are expected to set up home there for two months.
They picked the island so they can combine work and pleasure as they film scenes from their upcoming movie By The Sea. It is the first time they have starred together since Mr and Mrs Smith where they met and fell in love.
Locals have told the newspaper they have been shelling out as much as $200,000 to business owners willing to leave.
A source told Page Six: ' A lot of people have agreed to leave the island so that they can have privacy to film the movie.
Old territory: The short film features a casino themed plot
'The set is being built there to recreate the French Riviera.'
Few details about the plot are known but The Hollywood Reporter claims that they will play husband and wife in the flick, which is set to be released sometime in 2016.
Next month, the family is expected to move onto a 100-foot luxury yacht.
'The boat is absolutely beautiful, a classic yacht with three masts, and is where Angelina, Brad and their children will stay during the shoot,' the source said.
'It will hopefully allow them some privacy and some time to explore and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.'
