Fox "news" continues CBS, ABC, CNN propaganda to attack Iran: today's CIA Operation Mockingbird

We hold these Truths as self-evident...

In the video clip from Fox below, Bill Kristol advocates US military attack on Iran because he predicts that Israel will attack Iran. This is propaganda for an unlawful war for the following “emperor has no clothes” obvious reasons. Fox "reporting" is also a manipulative variation of the same war drone I’ve documented from CBS, ABC, and CNN

  • The US-created treaty of the UN legally forbids armed attack unless a nation’s government is attacking the US or there is imminent threat of attack. IAEA confirms all of Iran’s nuclear material is used for legal energy and medical isotopes; there is no threat of an attack from Iran. Therefore, US military attack is an unlawful War of Aggression; the worst crime a nation can commit, and in violation of US treaty and the US Constitution. All US military have an oath to support and defend the US Constitution and trained to refuse unlawful orders. Those with authority are obligated to arrest those who issue unlawful orders. The end of Wars of Aggression is the victory of all Americans who sacrificed in WW2. Fox allows Mr. Kristol’s advocacy of unlawful war and rejection of this victory for peace. Fox’s lie of omission to not discuss the laws of war is not accidental; it is war propaganda. This is indeed an “emperor has no clothes” obvious observation because the laws of lawful or unlawful war are the most important for a nation to follow and should be the context of war discussion.
  • Israel cannot legally attack Iran for the same reasons. The US is legally obligated by the UN Charter treaty created by the US to prevent Israel from engaging in war. Fox’s lie of omission of this point is obviously intentional. Professional news analysts are not stupid enough to be ignorant of the central law in question, but they’re hoping a critical mass of Americans are that stupid.
  • The US and Israel claim that Iran’s President Ahmadinejad threatened to physically harm Israel is a lie of commission; verifiable in a few minutes by anyone who reads his October 2005 speech. Mr. Ahmadinejad advocates Palestinian persistence for their civil and political rights from Israel’s government and predicts the Israeli government, like the US-imposed dictator Shah Pahlavi in Iran, the USSR, and Saddam’s Iraq, will fall from their unlawful and immoral oppression of Palestinians. The content and context of the speech are as crystal-clear as my one-sentence summary. Because two nations and all corporate media lie about one nation making a military threat to destroy another, this is “emperor has no clothes” obvious propaganda. And yes, I’m repeating this phrase in hope that this realization of the obvious will become, well, obvious.
  • We now know from all disclosed evidence by our own government that all US claims for war with Iraq were not only false, but known to be false at the time they were told because the claims were at least as ridiculous as the above claims. For Fox to lie by omission to not remind the audience that the US is still in a war based on lies and therefore the audience should be highly critical of all current US “official claims” for war is not accidental but propaganda. A professional news agency is supposed to do this analysis for Americans, not omit it and echo the same paper-thin lies.
  • Fox lies by omission that history is the most likely predictor of the present. With Iran, the US engaged in the unlawful and lying CIA Operation Ajax to overthrow Iran’s democratically-elected government from 1953 to 1979, imposing a vicious oil-friendly dictator. When Iran achieved their freedom from this tyranny and refused further US dictatorship, the US directly supported their then oil-friendly vicious dictator Saddam to attack and invade Iran from 1980 to 1988 (and reneged their legal obligation to prevent unlawful Wars of Aggression through the UN Security Council). These actions mass-murdered up to a million Iranians. Fox lies by omission to not raise the obvious question: are the current lies of a non-existent nuclear weapon threat and lie of President Ahmadinejad’s speech to foment another US-imposed dictatorship of Iran?
  • Fox lies by omission about CIA disclosure in the Church Senate Committee hearings of Operation Mockingbird: the placement of over 400 CIA assets inside corporate media to propagandize Americans with whatever reporting necessary to manipulate public opinion for policy support. Of course, Fox is corporate media; and of course, this list of “emperor has no clothes” obvious propaganda from Fox is prima facie evidence that Fox conspires with today’s versions of Operation Mockingbird.
  • Because current wars and threat of war with Iran are unlawful, Fox lies by omission in failing to observe the US Constitution is abandoned and the US is therefore no longer a constitutional republic in its operation. Every high school graduate learns the American ideals of limited government UNDER the law with nobody above the law in context of unalienable rights for all human beings. When government under law and unalienable rights isn’t practiced, we “emperor has no clothes” obviously observe that the US government must be called something else. Every student learns a more fitting name for our type of government in practice: fascism. For Fox to lie by omission of this high school-level of fundamental understanding of our government is again not because they’re too stupid. Fox, in their obvious propaganda to supplant fascism for the US under the Constitution that you prefer, hopes you’re too stupid to see what’s happening in reality and that empty propaganda is enough to earn your unthinking obedience and tax-paying labor to support.
  • Finally, Fox lies by omission in failure to mention the only crime defined in the US Constitution because of its central importance in keeping America from the internal attack and subjugation imagined and forewarned by the Founding Fathers: treason. When “leaders” of both parties levy war on US soldiers by unlawfully invading them into foreign lands, this is the cause of our soldiers’ deaths and harm, not the foreign nations’ acting in lawful self-defense. This levying of war AGAINST the US and Constitution is treason. This, again, is “emperor has no clothes” obvious and not an innocent mistake by a professional news organization.
The evidence I’ve documented from Fox, ABC, CBS and CNN “reporting” is one revealing sample each from those corporate media liars. However, this propaganda is repeated daily over a range of political and economic issues their loveless masters conspire to control that has been happening for years. For one example, consider the US government assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King in 1968; 42 years ago. The King family filed civil suit because the US government rejected their claim for criminal suit. The 1999 trial found the US government guilty in the civil law category for murder, wrongful death. Dr. King’s wife agreed with the verdict:
“For a quarter of a century, Bill Pepper conducted an independent investigation of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. He opened his files to our family, encouraged us to speak with the witnesses, and represented our family in the civil trial against the conspirators. The jury affirmed his findings, providing our family with a long-sought sense of closure and peace, which had been denied by official disinformation and cover-ups. Now the findings of his exhaustive investigation and additional revelations from the trial are presented in the pages of this important book. We recommend it highly to everyone who seeks the truth about Dr. King's assassination.” — Coretta Scott King, Dr. King's wife.
Corporate media did not report this nation-changing story. This is consistent with the CIA disclosure of their control over corporate media with all important stories, including our history texts that omit this history-changing context that the US government murdered one of the most loved Americans in history because for the last year of his life he opposed the equally “emperor has no clothes” unlawful and immoral Vietnam War.
As a teacher of history and government, I point to the Latin phrase when the facts are so obvious, they speak for themselves: res ipsa loquitur. I also point to the Greek insult for citizens who ignore their most important political issues that is still so powerful it remains untranslated in today’s language: idiot.
America’s problem isn’t that the lies are difficult to detect; America’s problem is the “Big Lie” has implications of massive criminal activity that Americans do not want to be responsible for embracing.
But really, is the choice so difficult? Would you want to face your family, including your dearly departed and future generations, with the fact that you supported American fascist Wars of Aggression based on “emperor has no clothes” obvious lies? Is the person you’ve always wanted to be a literal idiot or a hero in your own self-expression to build the brightest future for all of us?
Your choice is clear and easy.
I conclude with my usual resources for comprehensive understanding and suggestions for action. This has some repetition or the above information along with additional resources:
Fellow Americans: literally for the love of God, it’s time.
It’s time for our men and women in government and military to choose: either stand with the US Constitution you’ve sworn to support and defend against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC, or remain complicit in ongoing Wars of Aggression, mass murder of our soldiers and our fellow humans in other lands and throwing trillions of our tax dollars to do so, pushing the world ever-closer to an apparently planned and desired nuclear Third World War (and here), and guilty of what Dr. Martin Luther King called “Silence is Betrayal” (before the US government assassinated him according to the only trial conducted for his murder).
Over 5,000 US soldiers have been killed so far as pawns of the civilian and military brass tyrants. Multiples more have been crippled physically and emotionally. There is no end in sight to current wars; indeed, the US is expanding them into Pakistan and Yemen and threatening more war with Iran. The dead are comforted by God; their families are devastated by the loss of their loved-ones. The crippled and their families face a range of challenges; many so severe that a total of 6,000 US veterans commit suicide every year. One-third of all US homeless men are veterans.
It’s time for our men and women in the military and government to refuse all orders associated with our unlawful wars and preparation for unlawful war with Iran over one gram of medical isotope worth $75,000 in 20% enriched nuclear fuel. It is hard to imagine a more ridiculous case for war.
It’s time for our men and women in the military and government to stand with the American public who declare in a ratio of 9 to 1 that our government no longer represents them under the US Constitution.
It’s time: exercise your 1st Amendment right to freedom of speech and press, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Please provide this article to all Americans if you find it helpful to stop current and future unlawful wars.
Our military was duped into these wars with calculated "Big Lies;" our trusting young men and women took an Oath to support and defend the US Constitution that supersedes the Nazi insert of “placing the mission first.” The Claus von Stauffenberg faction of US military and government must act to end this soulless mass-murdering; this loveless series of unlawful wars and unlawful orders, if we want a future we’re proud to build.
This choice is up to our men and women in uniform and government for leadership. I provide:
Choose well; our collective future, and your future, depend upon it. I appreciate your attention to these facts and encourage your further study and action consistent with your own self-expression.
It's time: please share this article with all who can benefit. If you appreciate my work, please subscribe by clicking under the article title (it’s free). Please use my archive of work to help build a brighter future.
Policy response: Gandhi and Martin Luther King advocated public understanding of the facts and non-cooperation with evil:
"One thing we have endeavoured to observe most scrupulously, namely, never to depart from the strictest facts and, in dealing with the difficult questions that have arisen during the year, we hope that we have used the utmost moderation possible under the circumstances... We have an abiding faith in the mercy of the Almighty God, and we have firm faith in the British Constitution. That being so, we should fail in our duty if we wrote anything with a view to hurt. Facts we would always place before our readers, whether they are palatable or not, and it is by placing them constantly before the public in their nakedness that the misunderstanding between the two communities in South Africa can be removed."    Mohandas K. Gandhi,  Indian Opinion (1 October 1903)
For Gandhi’s evolved view of British evil in 1922, read this passage from Freedom’s Battle.
Gandhi concluded the effective response from the public was non-violent, non-cooperation with unjust British rule until the British themselves realized their engagement in immoral acts with an educated and non-cooperative public was inconsistent with their own values.
To consider:
"If we are to have peace on earth, our loyalties must become ecumenical rather than sectional. Our loyalties must transcend our race, our tribe, our class, and our nation; and this means we must develop a world perspective. No individual can live alone, no nation can live alone and as long as we try, the more we are going to have war in the world. Now the judgment of God is upon us and we must either learn to live together as brothers or we are all going to perish together as fools."
--Inscription on Dr. Martin Luther King’s statue, Moorehouse College, Atlanta
"The day that hunger is eradicated from the earth, there will be the greatest spiritual explosion the world has ever known. Humanity cannot imagine the joy that will burst into the world on the day of that great revolution." -- poet Federico García Lorca
Comments policy: I present a professional level of discourse based on facts. I welcome questions and comments that are civil and pertain to the article topic. Here, readers are welcome to argue for any inaccuracy of factual claim and/or need for inclusion of other facts. Readers are welcome to interpret facts however they wish and welcome to any policy position. They are not welcome to misrepresent facts. Facts are objective, measurable, and independently verifiable.
That is how freedom looks. Freedom is not an allowance of whatever, whenever, however. We censor behavior of drivers beyond strict limits, censor many behaviors as fouls and out-of-bounds in sports. We censor people in relationships and business from certain acts, and can fire them upon violation. You censor in your place of business those who distract and/or damage your work. You fire destructive people from relationships, and would never invest your time or money for a sport that did not strictly censor behavior.
Our government is paradoxically based on censorship: “deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed” means any behavior outside constitutional limits is forbidden. This is the paradox of freedom: freedom is only realized within limits.
In these articles, I write for the highest level of factual accuracy and will manage comments with that commitment. Comments and questions are welcome ONLY from those who chose factual integrity.
Please consider that I’m among hundreds of writers who have documented our own government’s disclosure of propaganda programs to support their wars. My articles are subject to such propagandistic attack from comments that use typical rhetorical fallacies to distract readers from the facts. I invite readers to sharpen their ability to discern such propaganda. They are characterized by a combination of: denying facts without evidence, ignoring key facts in lies of omission, lying about verifiable facts as lies of commission, diverting attention through unsubstantiated belief in an alleged expert, irrelevant data, straw-man attack that distorts the facts, ad hominem attack of insults to the messenger, vile comments to repulse readers, and focus on minutia.
I will use such comments to point-out the propaganda or delete them at my discretion. Again, all relevant and polite questions, and factually accurate comments are welcome. As a professional educator I’m in agreement with my experience and research: we learn best from multiple perspectives in mutual commitment to understand the facts, see those facts from diverse points-of-view, and consider various policy proposals of what we should do.
"But now, after having once and for all put to the test the judgments of men, I here again approach these same questions regarding God and the human mind, and at the same time treat the beginnings of the whole of first philosophy, but in such a way that I have no expectation of approval from the vulgar and no wide audience of readers. Rather, I am an author to none who read these things but those who seriously meditate with me, who have the ability and the desire to withdraw their mind from the senses and at the same time from all prejudices. Such people I know all too well to be few and far between. As to those who do not take care to comprehend the order and series of my reasons but eagerly dispute over single conclusions by themselves, as is the custom for many-those, I say, will derive little benefit from a reading of this treatise; and although perhaps they might find an occasion for quibbling in many spots, still it is not an easy matter for them to raise an objection that is either compelling or worthy of response."
- Rene Descartes, Meditations on First Philosophy, 1641, "Preface to the Reader." This book is usual reading in college philosophy courses today. Descartes is considered the founder of modern philosophy, the founder of analytical geometry (which led to calculus), and a founder of the Scientific Revolution. Descartes was well-known in his age, but highly controversial. His work was condemned by the Roman Catholic Church in 1633, and his books put on the Index of Prohibited Books in 1663. The University of Utrecht condemned his work in 1643, where he had previously taught.
For those involved in support of US government-sponsored disinformation in whatever versions of Operation Mockingbird that are active, I invite you to consider the quality of human relationships you wish to create. National security and a brighter future is not a function of fear, manipulation, and control. Our best security follows cooperation, justice under the law, dignity, and freedom. Working for your best imagined self-expression of virtue may include a unique contribution from the inside of your agency. Public attraction to the stories of Star Wars and the Harry Potter books/movies recognize that our society’s jump to civilized relations for all of us might require support from people within the “dark side” acting as covert agents for building a brighter future. Another option is becoming a whistle-blower; Project Camelot is a popular venue for people in sensitive positions. Ultimately, I recommend a Truth and Reconciliation process to exchange full truth for no prosecution, explained in detail at the link. Please consider the wisdom of your own “Scrooge conversion” to act for the benefit of building a brighter future for all humanity rather than propagandizing for your controlling, manipulating, and loveless “masters’” psychopathic policies of violence and suffering.
“Scrooge was better than his word. He did it all, and infinitely more; and to Tiny Tim, who did not die, he was a second father. He became as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man, as the good old city knew, or any other good old city, town, or borough, in the good old world. Some people laughed to see the alteration in him, but he let them laugh, and little heeded them; for he was wise enough to know that nothing ever happened on this globe, for good, at which some people did not have their fill of laughter in the outset; and knowing that such as these would be blind anyway, he thought it quite as well that they should wrinkle up their eyes in grins, as have the malady in less attractive forms. His own heart laughed: and that was quite enough for him.”
Los Angeles market: This is the media capital of the world. If we are to build a brighter future, the broadest picture must be communicated. Los Angelinos will play leading roles in communicating these issues’ importance to all humanity and in context to the economic and security concerns of local communities and families, as I explain above. These issues are ongoing “current events” of literally trillions of our collective dollars that directly effect billions of human beings, around the world who we touch in L.A.’s media market and where so many of us have family and friends, and locally with the per household tax burden for trillions of our collective dollars.

The "revolution" is televised and deflated and controlled and it will never happen. And even if it does, the TV will deny it exists, or it will be turned into a controlled media event, and no one will show up for it. All that's left is every international central banker for himself. It's a dog eat dog world out there, and as long as the peons keep humping their TV sets, ain't nuthin' gonna change, except for the NWO target you're painting on your back. Go get yourself a banking dynasty and kick some ass.

A war for a great principle ennobles a nation. A war for commercial supremacy, upon some shallow pretext, is despicable, and more than aught else demonstrates to what immeasurable depths of baseness men and nations can descend. Albert Pike in Morals and Dogma.

    Hi Professor Herman,
What do you make of the Guardians of the Free Republic folks and have you heard about the letter they delivered to the governors? Some people (WRH) think it might be a COINTELPRO setup to dissipate the populations efforts. I like what they say they stand for. here's a partial link as the system didn't like the whole one, guardiansofthefreerepublics(dot)com
Thank you for your writing, I'm really learning a great deal.

  • Carl Herman (LA County Nonpartisan Examiner) 4 years ago

    I'm not a professor; just professing :)

I looked at their site; I like much of what they have to present. I disagree about educating the public (they say it won't work so don't try). My understanding is their letters to governors said either step down in three days or military would force them out. Their three days have come and gone.

To teach students the truth about what is happening and factual history is a huge deal these days and all too-rare. My American-born sons are both attending a top UK high school (receiving a "classical education") and as of yet, there are no history lessons about the British Empire. None (my eldest is in Year 11). Surely that cannot be accidental? The suppression of truth is everywhere. Reading this blog hurts every time because the truth hurts like hell. But how can anyone with a brain deny these facts?
Thank you for your detailed research and courage to always speak the truth about the lies being fed us which are SICKENING to anyone who believes in true freedom and liberty. Will pass this on and praying that the ignorant masses will wake up from their stupor before it's too late.

Brilliant! Thank you from my heart!
I was an Asset involved in Iraqi Pre-War Intelligence. I got arrested on the Patriot Act for opposing the War, then accused of "incompetence," which lined up beautifully with accusations on Capitol Hill, blaming bad intelligence for their decisionmaking. Without a trial or a hearing, I was ordered to surrender to prison on a Texas military base. I was supposed to stay 4 months, but the Justice Dept refused to release me, and tried to hold me indefinitely. I think they call that a cover up.

    Att: Carl Herman (Pt 1)
For starters, some in depth research about the middle east conflict needed. This article is as biased and misinformed as the MSM that you denounce.
“Iran’s President Ahmadinejad threatened to physically harm Israel is a lie of commission.” What a ridiculous statement. That the Muslims want to annihilate the Jewish people is a fact that goes back centuries. Fundamentalists have not only voiced this over and over again but numerous attempts have been made in order to do just that and they have consistently refused to recognise Israel even since before it’s birth. Furthermore Christians and anyone else for that matter who does not belong to Islam is under threat from these radicals..

  • marinera 4 years ago

    Pt 2
Trying to blame the ills of the world on the Jewish people is ignorant. Here's another line of thought. The aim is for the Moslem Arabic World and the State of Israel to mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile other nations who are divided on this issue take sides. WWIII in the making, intentional and pre-planned even before you were born.
At present the US looks to be trying to force Israel to split. Contrary to common belief, you may very well find that it is not so Israel friendly after all.
As well as the “synagogue of Satan” you may also want to consider the church of Satan and the mosque of Satan too.
So the phrase goes, a little knowledge (and a lot of ignorance) is a dangerous thing.

  • Carl Herman (LA County Nonpartisan Examiner) 4 years ago

What a ridiculous statement you make about the Iranian president’s speech when anyone can confirm what is said in content and context in 5 minutes. Let’s talk about beginner’s research with you rather than the Orwellian “in depth” you ask for. You’re also a bigot who condemns “the Muslims” as all wanting to annihilate the Jewish people, extending your bigotry for hundreds of years and multiple generations of all Muslims.

I think it’s safe to assume that you have no Muslim friends and no cultural exposure.

Who’s blaming Israel for the ills of the world? I know it’s hard to see clearly from your viewpoint of hating everyone in a particular religion. Yes, you make the case that a little knowledge mixed with a lot of ignorance is dangerous.

Start by reading Mr. Ahmadinejad’s Oct. 2005 speech to correct that level of your ignorance.

    Ms. Susan Lindauer,

That is an increadable story. One which I fear has been repeated more often than we would know. If you are still reading this thread, may I ask how your situation was resolved. The Patriot Act is a big peeve of mine and I am always collecting info on it. I couldn't believe this was passed numerous times in this country. Including recently by Obama.

At any rate I am glad you are free ( or as free as any of us really is now)Thanks.

This is FOX news (and other organs of the yellow press) we're talking about here. It has nothing to do with truth, reality, honesty, or any of those things. It is about hegemony, greed, and control. It's really very simple.
