The Cebuano Wikipedia (Cebuano: Wikipedya sa Sinugboanon) is the Cebuano-language edition of Wikipedia. Cebuano is the second most spoken language in the Philippines.[not verified in body]

History[edit]

The Cebuano Wikipedia, Ang Gawasnong Ensiklopedya, was proposed at an indeterminate date on 2005 and was started in June 22, 2005. As of 2011, it was the largest Philippine-language Wikipedia based on number of articles before the Waray-Waray and Tagalog Wikipedias.[2]

As of August 2014, it has about 1,106,000 articles.[3] The current article depth of Cebuano Wikipedia is 3.4, compared to 35.5 for the Tagalog Wikipedia.[citation needed]

The Cebuano Wikipedia has a high ratio[according to whom?] of administrators to total number of active users (4%).[citation needed]

On day 16 July 2014 Cebuano Wikipedia has reached 1,000,000 articles.
