Strictly stylish: Caroline Flack shows off tanned legs in glitzy signature shorts at the Strictly Come Dancing launch

By Kate Thomas for MailOnline

She's often claimed that her legs 'aren't that great'.

But that didn't stop Caroline Flack from parading her toned pins in a pair of sparkling shorts at the Strictly Come Dancing launch at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire on Tuesday.

The former Xtra Factor presenter stood out on the red carpet in her signature ensemble, with her tomboy look providing a stark contrast to glamorous singers Frankie Bridge (née Sandford) and Pixie Lott, who both sported bejewelled little numbers with revealing cut-out panels.

Caroline dressed up the look with a baby blue, crystal-encrusted V-neck top, which made the most of her ample assets.

She wore a pair of bronze sandals and tied a colour-pop satin sash in a bow around her waist.

The TV favourite wore her long brown locks down in waves and turned up the heat with a seriously smoky eye and lashings of mascara.

Meanwhile, a golden bronze tan by Michaella Bolder, St Tropez skin finishing expert, completed her ballroom babe look.

The 34-year-old beauty, who famously dated One Direction's Harry Styles, is rarely without her trusty shorts on red carpet occasions.

The presenter, a diminutive 5ft4in, previously told The Times magazine: 'My legs are not that great. They’re short and funny. It’s hilarious when people call me ‘leggy’. Look how short I am.'

And Caroline insists the only reason she wears the leg-baring garment so much is because she's not a fan of her upper arms.

She explained to the Daily Express: 'I'm paranoid about my arms, I hate them. I know I show my legs a lot, but I would look silly if I covered my legs AND my arms.'

Meanwhile, Pixie donned an eye-catching canary yellow ensemble that featured a low-cut crop top and a textured mini-skirt for the BBC One show's launch event.

And The Saturdays singer Frankie - who only gave birth to her first baby with husband Wayne Bridge only 11 months ago - showed off her post-baby body in a pastel pink plunging cut-out dress and gold heels.

The girls will be also joined by tennis matriarch Judy Murray, Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, MasterChef star Gregg Wallace and Eastenders' Jake Wood in the all-star line-up.

Blue hunk Simon Webbe, TOWIE star Mark Wright, former rugby player Thom Evans, ITV presenter Alison Hammond, actress Jennifer Gibney, Casualty's Sunetra Sarker and adventurer Steve Backshall round out this year's crop of celebrities vying for the glitterball trophy.

Caroline told The Sun newspaper: 'Ever since I was a presenter on CBBC and used to see the Strictly judges walking around Television Centre I have wanted to take part in the show. Me and my boyfriend have done a bit of dancing in the kitchen but that really is about it.'
