Business as usual: Game Of Thrones resumes filming scenes for upcoming season amid Lena Headey nudity controversy

By Bella Brennan for MailOnline

Earlier in the week HBO’s Game Of Thrones hit a road block when a local church in Dubrovnik, Croatia, reportedly banned actress Lena Headey from filming a naked scene in the city’s street.

But after reaching a compromise and agreeing to film around the town and not in the actual church of St. Nicholas, it was back to business for the hard-working team.

On Wednesday the cast and crew filmed scenes on the beautiful shores of Dubrovnik.

At the bottom of a cliff, a green screen was erected in front of an ancient fortress, while a crane was parked nearby.

Meanwhile, according to TMZ officials finally green-lighted the pivotal 'walk of shame' from the Croatian city's famous Church of St. Nicholas through town - on the premise Lena doesn't set foot in the church.

The compromise was reached, according to the website, because scenic Dubrovnik - which doubles as King's Landing - doesn't want to anger HBO, which has boosted the region’s economy thanks to the popularity of the show.

The church scene will still be filmed, but on a fake set and Cersei will be shown walking through Stadun street to the Sponza Palace.

The scene is said to be pivotal to the series' storyline and has a strong relevance to the original source material –George R.R. Martin’s novel A Dance With Dragons, the fifth of seven from his Song Of Fire And Ice series.

Earlier in the year Lena, 40, opened up about the infamous naked Penance Walk, telling sci-fi news website Blastr she was still trying to convince the producers to let her character keep her clothes on.

'I've been very adamant about keeping her kind of clothed because I think that's part of her power,' she said.

'And she can still be sort of sexual and weird and female, but she doesn't have to be naked.'

'And I think it makes for a more shocking disempowering moment when this happens. So, we'll see. I'm a little scared.'
