Sofia Vergara is highest-paid TV actress for third year in a row with $37M in earnings

Sofia Vergara has once again topped Forbes' list of highest-earning TV actresses, raking in an impressive $37 million in earnings this past year.

The Modern Family star kept her spot for a third year running, bringing in $7 million more than the previous year, according to the magazine.

The 42-year-old earns $325,000 per episode on the hit ABC show, but the bulk of her earnings comes from lucrative endorsement deals from the likes of Diet Pepsi, CoverGirl, At&T, Head & Shoulders and the medication Synthroid.

The Colombian-born actress is also co-founder of multi-million dollar Hispanic talent management and entertainment marketing firm Latin World Entertainment. 

Vergara reeled in $11 million more than the highest-earning male TV actor on the list, Ashton Kutcher, who brought in $26 million between June 2013 and June 2014.

Trailing behind Vergara was Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay, who earned $13 million.

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting came in third with $11 million for her role on The Big Bang Theory.

The actress recently succeeded in her negotiations to earn $1 million per episode of the CBS sitcom.

Julianne Margulies, who recently won the best actress in a drama Emmy for her role on The Good Wife, was next with $10 million.

Tying with Margulies was Greys Anatomy veteran Ellen Pompeo, also with $10 million in earnings.

Another comedian, Mindy Kaling, of The Mindy Project, came in next with $6.5 million.

Kerry Washington of Scandal, New Girl's Zooey Deschanel and Courteney Cox of Cougar Town all earned $6 million each.

Completing the list was Homeland's Claire Danes, with $5 million, and Girls creator Lena Dunham, who brought in $3.5 million.
