But Shanina Shaik and Tyson Beckford certainly looked cosy as they attended the premiere of the fifth and final season of Boardwalk Empire in New York City on Wednesday night.

The handsome couple walked the red carpet hand-in-hand and appeared happier than ever.

The pair were clearly enjoying each other's company, both grinning from ear-to-ear.

The genetically blessed couple both looked picture perfect for the occasion with Victoria's Secret model Shanina gorgeous in a gunmetal dress.

She teamed the frock with some gold accessories including a pair of strappy sandals and a glomesh handbag.

Meanwhile, Tyson looked dapper in a navy blue tuxedo jacket with satin lapels and a matching bow tie teamed with a light blue shirt and white trousers.

He added a dash of contrasting colour in the form of a pair of red velvet slippers.

The pair's outing comes after Tyson put on a public display of affection with Shanina at the US Open Tennis Championships in New York.

The handsome star couldn't keep his hands off her, shooting her an admiring look as he affectionately patted her derriere.

The couple seemed to be very much back on as they laughed and flirted with one another, even posing to take a selfie.

However, a close friend of Shanina's told Daily Mail Australia that the pair are just friends and Shanina doesn't want to date anyone at the moment.

'They remain incredibly close friends and care for each other, but Shanina's not interested in a relationship with anyone right now. She's happy with things just the way they are,' they said.

Shanina and Tyson, who met on the set of his former model search show Make Me A Supermodel in 2008, were said to have cooled things off last November.

But they clearly only had eyes for each other in recent weeks.

Earlier this year, Daily Mail Australia revealed Australian beauty Shanina was dating Cleveland Brown's cornerback Julian Posey.

But the star has since been seen hanging out with Tyson and their mutual friends on several occasions.

Tyson also hinted at a reconciliation earlier this month when he was asked about bikini-clad Shanina living it up with 20-year-old pop star Justin Bieber on a luxury yacht in Ibiza.

When quizzed how he felt about Shanina hanging around with Justin, Tyson even boasted that she actually spent more time with him in the celebrity hotspot than the Baby singer.

He revealed: ‘Actually she didn’t spend a lot of time with Bieber, she spent a lot of time with me and that’s all I’m saying. I’m not saying nothing else.’

Probed as to whether he had ‘loaned out’ Shanina to Justin, Tyson added: ‘I ain’t loaning out nothing.

‘Little boys can’t have grown man toys, that’s all I’m saying.’

In April, Shanina opened up about what she was looking for in a partner.

She told MailOnline: 'I'm looking for a mature person because I'm mature for my age. I want a real man.'
