Johnny Depp and Amber Heard deserved dual awards for beautifully dressed and most romantic.

The engaged pair turned heads after the Pirates Of The Caribbean star presented the Icon Award to Iggy Pop at this year's GQ Men Of The Year Awards in London on Tuesday.

Try as they might, Johnny, 51, and the 28-year-old actresss couldn't avoid the spotlight as they made a getaway from a back door at The Royal Opera House.

Best-dressed in black: Johnny Depp and his fiancée Amber Heard were a stunning pair in elegant black ensembles at Tuesday's GQ Men Of The Year Awards in London

Johnny clasped Amber's hand lovingly and gently led her through the throng of people, his smooth-shaven face calm and cool behind the rock star blue shades.

The couple complimented each other in looks and ensembles, with Johnny dapper in a silky three-piece black suit and shirt, with a handkerchief visible in his jacket pocket.

An anchor necklace floated against his chest, a obvious ode to his beloved Captain Jack Sparrow character in the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies.

Amber was a marvel in a breathtaking, black silk and lace-embellished bandeau gown that fit her slender figure like a glove and fluttered to her platform black heels with a rear slit allowing easy strides.

She carried a black clutch and long sparkling earrings added even more elegance.

The Machete Kills star wore her honey-hued hair in a loose chignon, and crimson lipstick and matching nail polish were a nice bright touch.

Earlier at the show, Johnny had gladly presented American musician Iggy Pop with the coveted Icon Award.

They posed together backstage wtih the Lust For Life singer mugging for the camera while Depp maintained his charismatic cool.

Meanwhile, Depp might soon be heading to Australia to shoot the eagerly anticipated Pirates Of The Caribbean 5.

Disney has yet to confirm the location for the fifth movie - Dead Men Tell No Tales - with the studio also negotiating with government bodies in Mexico and South Africa.

Johnny is currently filming Kevin Smith's comedy Yoga Hosers in which his 15-year-old daughter Lily-Rose makes her film debut.
