Antonio Banderas' leggy blonde love revealed... as Dutch investment banker Nicole Kempel

George Clooney started the trend when he ditched his interchangeable model girlfriends for engagement to a high-flying lawyer.

And now it seems Antonio Banderas has found himself an equally brainy love - with his new girlfriend revealed to be Dutch investment consultant Nicole Kempel.

The Spanish actor, whose 19-year relationship with Melanie Griffith ended earlier this year, was spotted with the leggy blonde in a St Tropez club last month.

The two set tongues wagging when they were snapped danced together before heading back to their hotel hand in hand.

And now it has emerged that Antonio, 54, and Nicole are an item, and have been discretely dating.

Spanish magazine Hola! reports Nicole had nothing to do with Antonio and Melanie's split.

'Nicole has in no way fuelled or been the cause of the split between the actor and Melanie Griffith, since,' sources tell the magazine, adding that the pair met after Antonio's separation.

The news emerged as Melanie, 57, was seen viewing a new $5.6million five-bedroom Hollywood Hills home on Thursday.

Dressed in floral patterned leggings and a T-shirt, the blonde actress had a smile on her face.

Since announcing the divorce, the Hawaii Five-O actress has already begun laser treatments for her 'Antonio' arm tattoo. 

Mother-of-three Melanie told Indiewire last month: 'My kids are almost grown. I'm getting divorced. I'm just happy. I'm really joyful. Life is good.' 

'I'm going to do a lot of things. I'm going to do Pippin on Broadway in January, [but] it's not about my career now. It's just about finding great work and having a good time.' 

The former couple are parents to daughter Stella, who turns 18 this month.
