She described her breakup from boyfriend David Lucado as a 'really really sh***y day'.

But just a week later, Britney Spears is easing her broken heart by throwing herself back into work.

Sporting a big smile, the 32-year-old wrote 'Studio today, yay!' as she shared a photo of herself apparently recording a new track.

In the snap, Britney flashes a peace sign while wearing a cropped pink vest top that gave a glimpse of her toned midriff.

The Work Bitch singer wore her blonde locks pinned up with little makeup except for some dark eyeliner.

The blonde beauty announced on Twitter last Thursday that she had split from David, whom she started dating in March 2013, after video footage of him kissing and cuddling an unidentified woman emerged.

Britney's father, Jamie - who has overseen the singer's personal and professional matters since her breakdown in 2008 - has reportedly banned David from being able to see or speak to her following the alleged infidelity.

Jamie allegedly forked out a 'substantial amount' for the clip of David canoodling with another woman in order to prevent the footage from being leaked publicly.

Britney addressed her very public break-up live on stage during her Piece Of Me show at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday.

She told the audience between songs: 'Well, by now everyone knows my boyfriend cheated on me. But the best part of breaking up is going on first dates.'

Spears even hoped that the next lucky guy might be in the crowd, announcing: 'OMG, OMG, I need
a hot guy. Where are the hot guys here tonight?'

Singling out one fan, it turned out to be celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who she pulled up on stage to take some aggression out on.

On top of her music ventures, the mother of two is also getting ready to launch her new line of sexy lingerie entitled The Intimate Britney Spears Collection.
