He has turned from a football star to a savvy business man in recent years.

And David Beckham is doing all he can to ensure that Brand Beckham continues to grow as he was spotted filming an advert for his new whisky last week.

The 39-year-old was pictured at the Glen Affric Estate in Inverness-shire as he got to work on the new promotional clip for Diageo’s Haig Club whisky.

The former Manchester United star was joined on the set by his good friend and British director, Guy Ritchie, as they worked together on selling Beckham’s latest product.

David looked dapper as he sported a green velvet dinner jacket which he teamed with a white shirt, a black bow tie and black shoes.

The former Real Madrid player was joined on the set by men dressed in similar formal attire and a female in a striking blue jumpsuit.

The group were seen posing for picture outside the estate and David even took a turn behind the camera as they posed for snaps.

In May, David was mobbed by fans when he filmed an earlier advert at the 99 Hanover Street bar in Edinburgh.

It was announced in April this year that Diageo had teamed up with Beckham and music mogul Simon Fuller to launch Haig Club – a single grain, no-age-statement Scotch whisky.

The product is created from liquid sourced from the Cameronbridge distillery and is comprised of a variety of aged whisky from three types of cask: first-fill, rejuvenated and refill Bourbon barrels.

Beckham and Fuller, who founded the smash hitAmerican Idol TV show, were repoted to be playing a “fundamental role” in developing the brand.

At the time of the announcement David said said: “The House of Haig has a rich history and I’m proud to be working at the heart of a home-grown brand which has built an incredible heritage over 400 years.

“Working closely with Diageo, we look forward to collaborating on Haig Club, valuing and treasuring the Haig traditions while reinventing this whisky for years to come.”
