A little help from my friends! Pharrell Williams launches his eco-friendly denim collaboration with G-Star with pal Adrian Grenier by his side

By Chelsea White for MailOnline

Is there anything Pharrell Williams can't do?

It has long been an industry joke that the 41-year-old singer may be an alien due to his seeming inability to age, but even if he is not an extra-terrestrial  it seems the singer is on his way to world domination.

Pharrell was showing off his latest move to achieve his goals in New York on Friday night, with the star's collaboration with G-Star Raw hitting the runway of New York Fashion Week.

The eco-friendly range called Raw For the Oceans is The Voice judge's brain child with his fabrics initiative Bionic and the iconic streetwear label.

While when most people hear eco-friendly fashion they think of hippies wearing hemp, the Come Get It Bae singer's range could not be further away from that.

Pharrell and his design team sent models down the runway in edgy but wearable denim outfits that ranged from traditional jeans and shorts to dresses that were both casual and chic.

All the outfits, including the N.E.R.D frontman's own, were made from Bionic Yarn, which is created by using recycled materials, namely plastics that have washed up on beaches across the world.

Not only has the plastic been gathered and removed from the areas it is damaging, but has also been recycled to create a completely new material.

Before the runway show, Pharrell explained in a statement to W Magazine: 'Denim is one of the most cherished fabrics on Earth and we have created the next generation.'

Style statement: The Happy singer made sure to show off just how stylish the line is, combining a bomber jacket and a pair of customized jeans from the label with other designer touches including a Chanel rosary, Timberland boots and his signature hat

The Fashion icon also blended pierces from his other forays into the style world, including a T-shirt from his collaboration with Human Made and a pair of red Timberland boots that he also designed and, in this case customized with painted words and symbols.
