On Thursday, the Savages star posted a bee-themed birthday shout out to Beyoncé Knowles on her lifestyle website Preserve's Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The 27-year-old also shared the step-by-step cooking process of how she concocted the special cake from scratch in a photo montage.

Along with the photo of her cake, the former Gossip Girl star wrote, 'in honor of the Queen of all Bs... I had to make this Meyer Lemon Honey cake. Happy Birthday Beyonce!!! Xxo Blake.'

Complete with edible bee insects made out of chocolate frosting and candies, Blake proudly showed off her baked creation and shared her love for the singer on social media.

She returned the well wishes to the Drunk In Love songstress after Beyoncé had shared a black and white photo of the actress on her personal website for Blake's 27th birthday on August 25.

And it seemed Blake, who is married to actor Ryan Reynolds, got over her fear of bees after getting stung on her recent birthday just last week.

Lively had encountered an attack from a swarm of bees and recalled getting stung in a blog post on her website.

'I felt an electric shock of energy. Does your butt quite suddenly (and painfully) deflate when you turn 27? Because mine hurt like hell... then my neck, back, legs and forehead. And oh my hands! They were shriveling.'

Adding: 'It felt like I was being shot by dozens of tiny invisible darts. I felt like the Wicked Witch, melting, melting, burning, melting. As it happens, I wasn't greeted by the onset of spontaneous aging, but rather a full-fledged bee day. Attacked. All over. Everywhere.'

On Thursday, she shared a picture montage on Preserve's Twitter page and wrote, 'Reconciling with bees...'

In the series of photos, she showed how she whipped up the bee-themed birthday cake from start to finish.

Using a cake mold in the shape of a beehive, the food enthusiast created the celebratory baked good.

In one of the photos, it showed Blake adding in chocolate sprinkles in each half of the cake before she put it in the oven.

Another snap saw the actress glazing the final product with honey lacquer as she put the last touches to the treat.
