She has allegedly begun the divorce process from her husband of six years Nick Cannon, but it seems like Mariah Carey is turning to music to help her get through this tough time.

The 44-year-old singer shared two snaps on Instagram Saturday of herself rehearsing for an upcoming autumn tour.

She captioned one of the images to her 1.83 million followers: 'Last night's rehearsal for #TheElusiveChanteuseShow.'

It may have been a practice session, but the Fantasy singer looked like she was ready for the real thing as she donned a sleeveless mini-dress.

Mariah completed the look with a pair of heels and sunglasses as she wore her blonde locks down flowing over her shoulders.

In one of the photos, she was even joined by her five Jack Russell terriers, named Jill E. Beans, who appeared to be howling along as Mariah belted out her hits.

The Honey hit maker will begin The Elusive Chanteuse Show tour on October 4 in Tokyo with dates around Asia through the month.

It seems like a good time for Mariah to shift the focus onto her career as on Wednesday E! reported 'Mariah has started the divorce process' and Nick took to Twitter to say he 'never said' his marriage was in trouble.

The America's Got Talent host had allegedly previously said there was 'trouble in paradise' when asked about his marriage last month, but now Cannon claims this was made-up.

'"Trouble in Paradise" is the dumbest phrase I've ever heard! I would never say that s***,' he tweeted angrily.

Reports emerged last month that Nick had said he and Mariah had been 'living in separate houses for a few months' and gave her permission to take their three-year-old twins out of town.

However, Nick is now saying this is not the case, but still failed to mention if he and Mariah were having troubles or not, except for calling it a 'difficult time'.

'I have personally been absent from social media for the past few months for obvious reasons but I feel the need to finally speak up,' he began his rant.

'For the record I NEVER have, nor will I make a statement regarding my marriage.' However, he later added that the pair are going through a 'challenging time'.

While the couple have both been spotted out recently without their wedding bands, Mariah has remained silent about the rumoured split.
