George Clooney looked like the luckiest man in the world when he left his Florence hotel with fiancée Amal Alamuddin on Monday.

The 53-year-old waved to his fans as he emerged wearing a light blue denim shirt and jeans. But it was his pretty wife-to-be who stole the show in a pretty summer dress from Oscar de la Renta that Taylor Swift was spotted wearing earlier this year and yellow court shoes.

The couple have had quite a busy weekend with an appearance at Celebrity Fight Night in Florence on Sunday night.

It was there that normally secretive George revealed that he is to marry his wife in the very same country.

He revealed: 'I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice.

The star of course took his blushing soon-to-be bride as his date to the black-tie gala, which was thrown in support of the Andres Bocelli Foundation and The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.

For the first time, the event took place outside of the States, stars gathering at the historic, Romanesque Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.

According to witnesses, George spent the night doting on his 36-year-old fiancée, his arm wrapped around her shoulder and tucking her hair behind her ear.

They sat at their table with Andrea and wife Veronica Berti, along with Jimmy Walker - the founder of The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.

Fashion queen Amal has been seen arriving at the headquarters of fashion house, Alexander McQueen, where she is thought to be getting her wedding dress.

Although, the brand chose not to comment on the claims.
