When it comes to changing her hair, Lily Allen is something of a chameleon.

Whether it's orange, pink, green, or blue - or even all at once - the pop princess is never afraid to push the boundaries.

But now the Smile star has admitted that her husband Sam Cooper is not at all a fan of her quirky look.

In fact, he's even likened her constant colour change-ups to a mid-life crisis.

In a new interview with Now magazine, she joked that she 'doesn't give a f**k' what her builder beau thinks about her hair hue.

She said: 'He prefers me natural - he hates the colour! He's like: "Midlife crisis!" But sometimes I don't think he notices to be honest.'

However, she does believe that he'd sit up and pay attention if she ditched the rainbow pallet and reverted to her natural brown.

'He'd probably notice that but then he wouldn't notice if I cut 3in off my hair,' she added.

But before rumours of a rift start flying, Lily has also revealed that while she isn't that flexible with her hair, she will alter her appearance in other ways to keep her man happy.

The mother-of-two explained to Look magazine: 'I do like to change my look to what he prefers. For example, I know he likes white underwear, so on date night, I'll make sure that's what I'm wearing.' 

Her confessions come just a month after Lily was forced to knock back speculation that her marriage to was on the rocks, which sparked when she was seen without her wedding ring.
