And ahead of the season premiere, actress Kerry Washington stopped by 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City to chat with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old dressed in patriotic colours while displaying her lithe legs in a thigh-skimming frock for the television appearance.

The star has been very busy promoting the upcoming season premiere of Scandal, titled Randy, Red, Superfreak And Julia, and has been turning heads in multiple outfits.

For the Tonight Show appearance, Kerry opted for a white and blue short sleeved patterned Preen Resort 2015 dress with a red stripe across her midriff serving as a makeshift belt.

She matched the scarlet detail with coordinating Christian Louboutin high heels and subtle makeup on her flawless skin.

The mother-of-one has kept her lips sealed for the most part regarding details on the latest season.

But Kerry did reveal during her stint on the Tonight Show that in the first episode viewers will see where exactly her character Olivia Pope has disappeared to.

Fans, who call themselves Gladiators, last saw Olivia getting on a plane as she jetted off to an undisclosed location with her on-off beau Jake Ballard, portrayed by actor Scott Foley.
