He's famously a fan of gadgets and gizmos, but Bruce Jenner has snapped up the ultimate boys' toy as he moves a step closer to becoming a single man.

On the same day his estranged wife Kris Jenner filed divorce papers to end their 23 year marriage, the Olympian decided to mark the occasion by blowing $50,000 on a speedy UTV racer.

The 64-year-old was seen smiling and in high spirits on Monday, after he made a deal to buy US racing legend Robby Gordon''s 4x4 Utility Vehicle after spending a weekend at the Stadium SUPER Trucks race in California with his son, Burt.

Taking to his Instagram, Burt uploaded a snap of the orange and black all-terrain vehicle, and wrote: 'So my dad lasted all of about 30 minutes at the race this weekend before he went and bought Robby Gordon's UTV.

'Can't lie the thing is sick and clean... That's right folks, dad's gonna come race.'

The spontaneous purchase comes after fans of his famous family's hit show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, saw Bruce's needs being ignored, especially when it came to his hobbies.

His sons, Brandon and Brody, along with Kim, Khloe and Kourtney, started work on building a putting green for Bruce at the family's lavish California estate, only to be shot down by an angry Kris.

The couple originally announced their separation last year, with the family discussion being played out during a tense episode in October.

The 58-year-old momager requested joint physical and legal custody of their only underage child - 17-year-old daughter Kylie.

The legal documents state the fame-hungry matriarch wants to keep all jewelry and assets from before the separation, and they'll divide 'everything else' later.
