Courtney Love dons conservative blue-patterned frock to play preschool teacher on the LA set of Sons of Anarchy

By Cassie Carpenter for MailOnline

Courtney Love giddily returned to the Los Angeles set of Sons of Anarchy on Tuesday to continue her role as preschool teacher Ms. Harrison.

The 50-year-old's conservative blue-patterned frock was a far cry from the plunging leather dress she wore at the hit show's premiere party on September 6.

The Golden Globe nominee paired her dowdy costume with a brown cardigan as she acted opposite Katey Sagal (not pictured), who scored a Golden Globe for her work on the FX series.

Courtney's pivotal arc as the straight-shooting educator of Jax's (Charlie Hunnam) eldest son Abel begins with the episode 'Poor Little Lambs' airing September 30.

The seventh and final season of Sons of Anarchy currently runs Tuesdays through October 28 on FX.

The grunge-rock icon currently lives 'four doors down' from her formerly estranged, 22-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain.

'It's really good,' Love told People magazine earlier this month.

'We watched Orange Is the New Black last night for hours – I was the big spoon and she was the little spoon. We were talking about the plot line and acting and everything. We just laid in bed and watched TV.'

And since declaring her four-time Grammy nominated band Hole was 'dead' last year, Love has also reconciled with her bandmates.

'Me and Melissa [Auf der Maur] and Patty [Schemel] and Eric [Erlandson] have rehearsed a few times,' Love told Paper Magazine in August.

'At this point in my life, no one is my enemy. Any grudges or issues with that past? I'm done with it.'

However, the People Vs. Larry Flynt actress stressed: 'It's more important for me to act right now than to play rock 'n' roll.'

In the past couple years, the Live Through This crooner has also attempted to launch an Edwardian clothing line Never The Bride, and fronted NJOY e-cigarettes.
