Penny Lancaster proved once again that size didn't matter when she led her husband Rod Stewart out of a popular Californian restaurant on Tuesday.

As always the height difference of the pair was clear to see as Rod walked behind his wife’s elegant shadow in Beverly Hills.

The couple had enjoyed a leisurely dinner with pals at the Montage and Penny was sure to show off her model legs.

She added height to her long legs with nude heels while she showed off her tanned glow.

The former model wore her blonde locks in natural waves while she accessorised with a delicate gold necklace.

Rod and Penny are reportedly due to move back to Britain, to allow their children Alastair, eight, and three-year-old Aiden to get a British education.

The Maggie singer has been living in Los Angeles since 1975 with his wife and two children.

Penny was recently enlisted by ITV bosses to add some LA glamour to the Loose Women panel.

Her first day on the new-look programme saw her sit alongside regulars Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan and Jane Moore as they interviewed '80s pop idols Spandau Ballet

Passing on well wishes from her husband, Penny gave the boys a signed Celtic FC football with the message, 'Best of luck soul boys', ahead of the release of their new film, Soul Boys of the Western World.

The mother-of-two is one of the latest recruits brought in by bosses at the channel to try and reinvigorate the show, which has suffered a drop in the ratings in recent years.
