She had her heartbroken by rocker Liam Gallagher when he fathered a love child with another woman during their marriage but Nicole Appleton has found a new man to distract her.

Just last week Nicole, 39, was seen locked in an embrace with a rugged bearded man on Sunday as he made her giggle near her London home and he has now been identified by the Sunday Mirror as Kasabian's lighting technician Nicholas Grey, 39.

A source told the paper: It's the first time Nicole has felt ready to start something serious with somebody [since her split from Liam].'

In-demand Nicholas was responsible for the lighting at Kasabian's Glastonbury performance along with recent London Fashion Week shows, the publication reports.

It remains to be seen how Liam reacts as he is known to be friends with Kasabian.

And friends say Nicholas is responsible for putting a smile back on Nicole's face.

An insider said: She went through a tough time with her messy break-up from Liam but meeting someone has put a smile back on her face.'

Mr Gray is already proving to be a refreshing departure from Nicole's stone-faced front man ex, and last week he larked around with his hands on his hips before waving while he gripped the All Saints singer's hand.

Having divorced from rocker Liam back in April when news of his affair with US journalist Liza Ghorbani broke, Nicole looked like she was finally moving on.

The pair, who were seen enjoying dining out on Saturday evening, walked along hand in hand after champagne brunch at Villa Bianca.

The Sun newspaper reports that the couple enjoyed lunch at a local pub the previous evening, with a source telling the paper that they 'looked like a couple in love.'

On Sunday, Nicole dressed in a laid back fashion, needing nothing other than a white T-shirt and jeans to impress her beau as he slipped a gentlemanly arm around her shoulder.

The 39-year-old showed off her impressive physique with the tight-fitting jeans, which she paired with rocky studded boots and a Chanel handbag perched on her hip.

She appeared to be happy in the company of her tall, dark and handsome date, laughing out loud as she took her glamorous, black shades off to look at him when they walked through the crowds.

Nicholas wore a cowboy-style white shirt with black shoulders and silver collar tips with a giant gold lion ring on his little finger.

She complemented his get up by picking out gold embellished cowgirl boots for the day date.

Putting her distance from her marriage, Nicole put her six-bedroom Oxfordshire home, which the couple shared, on the market in August.

The £3 million Henley-on-Thames home was granted to her in a divorce that took only 68 seconds to go through, when Liam admitted to adulterous affair that saw him father a love child.

Liam, who has a 13-year-old daughter Gene with Nicole, is now dating his assistant Debbie Gwyther.
