Teresa Giudice and husband Joe 'snag BIG $325k payday' for his-and-her interview on Watch What Happens Live

Teresa Giudice didn't sit down to chat with Andy Cohen on his show Watch What Happens Live for nothing, it seems.

The 42-year-old Real Housewives Of New Jersey star and her 43-year-old husband Joe were apparently paid $325,000 for their first television interview since both were sentenced to prison last week after pleading guilty to multiple fraud charges, TMZ reported.

As the couple are also being ordered to pay $400,000 in restitution, that generous check should come in handy.

TMZ claimed that Bravo, the network that produces Watch What Happens Live, tried to lure just Teresa with $275,000.

Bravo then upped the amount by another $50,000 to have Joe sit in on the program with his more famous wife, according to the news site.

The two-on-one interview airs Monday evening, and as far as one can tell from the 30-second preview that was shown on the Today show Joe's role is mostly supportive.

The businessman held and stroked Teresa's hand as she tearfully recounted the moment in court she learned she was going to prison.

The interview marks the first time Teresa has spoken out since she - and Joe - was sentenced to prison.

Dressed conservatively in a black blazer, short black skirt and white blouse, Teresa revealed her surprise at how things played out in court last week.

'I was shocked. I mean, it was unexpected,' Teresa said in a preview clip that aired on the Today show.

She and Joe pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and bankruptcy fraud on Thursday in a Newark, New Jersey courthouse.

Teresa, who has four daughters with Joe aged 13 to five, will begin her 15-month sentence in federal prison on January 5.

Joe was sentenced to 41 months in prison that he will serve after Teresa completes her sentence, making sure one of them is with their children while the other is away.

The couple also will serve two years of probation after their release and must pay more than $400,000 in restitution.

Cohen asked Teresa and Joe what their 'biggest fear' was about going to prison, among other pressing questions.

'I just want to make sure my daughters are okay. That's all I want,' Teresa stated, as Joe held her hand.

'I just want (Joe) to be with them all the time (she's serving her sentence),' Teresa said.

When Cohen asked what her 13-year-old daughter Gia said to her, Teresa fought back tears as she responded: 'She said, "Mommy, don't worry about it. I'll be there. I'll help daddy with the girls. It will help prepare me for when I'm a mom."' It broke my heart when she said that.'

Today's sneak peek also showed Teresa and Joe sitting in front of their fireplace at home, with Teresa telling Joe: 'This family can't function without you and despite what people might say, this is not going to be our last Christmas together.'

To Cohen, Teresa confessed: 'All I said to my husband was, "All you have to do is please take care of our daughters. That's all I ask."

After the sentencing, Teresa's teenage daughter Gia tweeted: 'Family forever,' but a bumpy road still lies ahead.

Joe could be deported after serving his sentence because he is not a U.S. citizen.

Joe's attorneys have said that he came to the U.S. as an infant from Italy and wasn't aware that he wasn't an American citizen.
