They're still Extant! Halle Berry celebrates series renewal as she gives co-star Goran Visnjic a sweet hug after lunch

Halle Berry and Goran Visnjic certainly have a reason to celebrate.

The evergreen 48-year-old Oscar winning actress and her Croatian-born co-star, 42, were seen sharing an embrace as they left lunch at celeb-hotspot Nobu in Los Angeles on Thursday.

It certainly seemed to be a joyous embrace as it was announced that same day by CBS that their sci-fi drama series Extant had been renewed for a second season.

No doubt the good news brought them together as the two actors were reportedly joined by a few more of their co-stars for the high-end sushi meal.

Halle was dressed perfectly for a warm fall day in Southern California as she donned a flowy white maxi dress, which she teamed with a pair of sandals.

She accessorised the look with a pair of large, brown sunglasses which she matched with a snakeskin embossed leather bag.

The X-Men star had natural, complimentary make-up on her face and her brunette locks worn down into waves flowing over her shoulders.

Her co-star Goran was dressed casually in a plain black T-Shirt, blue jeans and brown leather boots.

Their programme Extant was renewed along with sci-fi drama Under The Dome, but legal drama Reckless got the axe just after one season.

Of the renewals, CBS Entertainment Chairman Nina Tassler said: 'We’re committed to delivering our viewers and advertisers year-round programming with a wide variety of storytelling.

'We continue to see summer as a great place for unique concepts, innovative business models and passionate television audiences.'

On the show, Halle plays an astronaut and scientist who mysteriously becomes pregnant while on a solo mission and Goran plays her robotics engineer husband.

The series was created by Mickey Fisher and is executive produced by Steven Spielberg. Extant along with the third season of Under The Dome are expected to return next summer.
