Earlier this summer he became the subject of a hilarious internet meme, featuring him hugging various monuments and fellow celebrities.

Jared Leto inspired the original meme by sharing a snap of himself hugging a true, in true hippie fashion, back in July.

And it appears the 30 Seconds To Mars rocker has not had his fill just yet as he posted yet another photograph of himself embracing a tree on Instagram.

Clearly in a nostalgic mood, Leto posted shot of himself hugging a redwood on Monday with the caption: 'Uh oh...here we go again! #JaredHugginLeto'.

The gorgeous brunette wore his long hair down as he shielded his eyes with a pair of dark sunglasses.

Staying comfortable he wore pajama bottoms, a long sleeve top, and a hat that had fallen off his head.

The 42-year-old long-haired and bearded singer shared a similar picture of himself while in Europe this past summer, during a day off from his Love Lust Faith and Dreams Tour.

Within hours, Twitter was awash with photo-shopped variations of the image with the hashtag #JaredHuggginLeto.

One featured the rocker clinging to actress Angelina Jolie's leg.

He reposted the image with the caption: 'Haaaaa you guys are nuts! #jaredhugginleto on Angelina's leg???'

That meme is particularly noteworthy since it's also a play on another photo-shop satire that began after Jolie struck the much criticized pose at the 72nd Oscars.

Unlike the sultry actress, who was said to be mortified by the memes of her jutting out her leg on the red carpet, Jared has been going along with the fun.

Another image is one of him hanging onto US President Barack Obama's face.

At the time Leto captioned the picture: 'Haaaaaa! Even President @barackobama gets some love from #JaredHugginLeto. You guys are hilarious.…'
