Djancgo

A statement posted on Facebook by her father Charles last night (top right) suggests the 32-year-old fled her apartment when officers from Auburn Police arrived and she plummeted to her death down the steep embankment (being searched by rescuers left) while trying to get out of view from the road. They also said the August: Osage County star, who had well documented her mental health problems (pictured bottom right with Meryl Streep), had previously been 'taunted and teased' by law enforcement when they picked her up and placed her in an 'involuntary transport to ER' while handcuffed. The family accused officers of 'tapping on the window making faces at her' while Misty was crying. Part of the lengthy social media post read: 'Misty was afraid of the Auburn PD officers with good reason. Earlier on Friday, as relatives gathered to grieve the 32-year-old's death, they said Misty's uncle, Robert Upham, was forced to set up his own search party because police 'did not help' the investigation. It follows claims from her friends and co-stars that she could have been the victim of 'foul play' and may have been targeted because she was 'outspoken'.

A University of Texas professor said she was "disgusted" on an American Airlines flight as the crew, she believes was fearing the spread of Ebola, kept a woman who had vomited shut in the plane's bathroom.

"I was outraged by what I saw," said Martha Selby, who is the head of the Austin university's Asian Studies Department.

Selby was on Flight 2325 Thursday evening from Dallas-Fort Worth to Chicago as she made her way to an academic conference.

"She was making her way to the bathroom and vomited in the aisle," Selby recalled of the passenger. "The flight attendants, I think, over-reacted completely. It was just crazy."

She said the sick passenger, who appeared to be in her 40s, was told by the flight crew that given current public health concerns she would have to tell them where she had been traveling and that she'd have to stay in the bathroom, Selby said.

"They told her to stay in the bathroom, and she stayed in the bathroom. They said, 'We can't let you out,'" Selby recalled.

University of Texas professor Martha Shelby told MailOnline she heard a flight attendant say: 'Because of our current health situation, we’re going to have to ask you to stay in the bathroom.'
