Nicole Richie hides behind oversized sunglasses and conceals her trim figure in large Houndstooth coat as she touches down in Los Angeles

Nicole Richie is rarely seen without her trademark oversized sunglasses.

And on Wednesday the 33-year-old television personality and fashion designer was spotted wearing a particularly large pair as she made her way through the Los Angeles International Airport. The former Simple Life star was also seen in a very fashionable Houndstooth coat.

The mother of two was returning home from a brief promotional tour in New York City.

She paired her statement coat with gray sweatpants, a black scarf and black high-top trainers.

Richie made the rounds on various television shows - including Late Night With Seth Myers later on Wednesday - to share the news of her show Candidly Nicole making it's second season premiere.

The show provides insight into the mother's life, bringing in her unapologetic sense of humor and unique philosophies on life and adulthood.

In the latest episode, which airs on Thursday, Nicole learns about the work of a radio DJ from Ryan Seacrest.

Nicole starts out, 'Today we are at Ryan Seacrest and I am going to be his co-host. It’s very early in the morning. I’m already tired and I haven’t even started.'

Then adds, musingly: 'But [Ryan] has like 19 jobs so I just want to see like is he on something? Do highlights give you more energy? I’m gonna find out.'

The daughter of Lionel Richie put her new disc jockey skills to good use, visiting the offices of SiriusXM radio on Wednesday.

With her blue locks slicked back in her usual style, the petite star shined in an emerald green satin blouse with a flattering high collar.

Rounding out her look were a pair of high-waisted black trousers with a bold Z design and classic black stilettos.

Nicole's flawless makeup, complete with a thick layer of eyeliner, highlighted her glowing complexion and high cheek bones.

Though the Hollywood Reporter stated that the series debuted 'to lacklustre returns', VH1 seems to be singing a different tune.

'Candidly Nicole has surpassed every goal that we set for the launch,' said Susan Levison, EVP of Original Programming and Production for VH1.

Nicole also has her own jewelry and apparel line called House of Harlow 1960, which debuted in 2008.
