Melissa Joan Hart displays her legs in tiny blue shorts as she visits the farmer's market with her family

She's been showing off a fuller figure since revealing an astonishing 40-pound weight loss earlier this year.

But amid her changing shape, Melissa Joan Hart is still proud of her efforts, sporting tiny blue shorts as she took her children out for a Family funday in Studio City on Sunday.

The 38-year-old actress was seen smiling, as she cradled her youngest boy Tucker, two, in her arms.

The Sabrina, The Teenage Witch star stood a step behind, holding onto her six-year-old Braydon's hand, as her husband Mark, 38, followed.

Back in February, Melissa showed off her weight loss which she achieved with the help of Nutrisystem, for whom she is now a spokesman.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight of her pound shedding following the birth of her son Tucker in September 2013: 'I don't wear bikinis even when I go to the beach, so when I put it on in front of the cameras and all these people, and my husband showed up - it's nerve-racking but the feeling is very satisfying.'

Melissa, who gained 60 pounds in total carrying Tucker, added that the pressure to lose weight wasn't as all encompassing as it had been with her other children.

'For me, it was important to bond with my child, as opposed to "lose the weight." So I waited until I was ready, and I knew I had the time, and then I made it a priority that I would eat well,' she explained.

'In the beginning, I felt an uncomfortable pressure that I rebelled against, but this third time, I had to go back on camera, I wanted to look great, so I focused on it once I knew I had the time in my schedule.'

She explained: 'I am really happy where I am.I could live like this. I'm on a good path.'

Speaking recently about her post-baby body, Melissa said that looking after Tucker, as well as her two older sons, eight-year-old Mason and six-year-old Braydon, helps her stay active.

She said: 'I know a lot of people with newborn babies that stay at home with the baby. Maybe I'm a little selfish but I'm like, "I want to watch my son at hockey," so I bundle up the baby and bring him in a car seat and bring him with me.

'I go through the extra effort to be with the older ones too!'
