Heavenly bodies! Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello display their rippling muscles as they continue shooting Magic Mike XXL

After tantalising fans with their muscular frames in the 2012 stripper movie Magic Mike, Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello are aware of the pressure to look just as good in the sequel.

And the actors looked ripped and ready for action, as they shot scenes for the highly-anticipated Magic Mike XXL in Tybee Island, Georgia, on Monday.

With his patterned cap flipped backwards, Channing, 34, showed off his bulging biceps in a grey tank top, which he teamed with blue ripped jeans and a pair of black hi-top trainers.

Joe, 37, went for a rugged look, tying a bandanna around his head as he shot scenes in a black tank top and a pair of navy jogging bottoms.

The heart-throbs were seen hanging out together on the back of a truck alongside co-stars Matt Bomer, Kevin Nash and Adam Rodriguez as cameras rolled.

And while the actors have managed to obtain their impressive bodies, Channing recently promised that their dance moves will also be something to behold.

In an interview with Tamron Hall that aired last week on Today, the actor said that his character will be dancing 'probably five times as much' in the 2015 sequel as in the original.

In a discussion about his latest animated film The Book Of Life, the actor briefly spoke about the venture, remarking: 'This is the Superbowl version of what the first one was.'

The father-of-one added: 'I'm dancing probably about five times as much in this one.'

Channing - who met his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum as they co-starred in Step Up - admitted he didn't exactly 'love' practicing his moves in front of his spouse, whom he regards as a very talented dancer.

'I do show her, but I don't love dancing in front of her 'cause she's such an amazing dancer,' Channing said when prodded by Tamron if he ever rehearsed his dance moves at home.

Indeed the actor may not entirely enjoy showing off his skills, but performing for his wife has become a reality.

Doing any homework? When asked if he practices his dancing in front of his wife Jenna Dewan, the actor admitted he didn't 'love dancing in front of her 'cause she's such an amazing dancer'

The 21 Jump Street actor told People recently that before any choreography makes it behind the camera, he tries them out in front of Jenna for final approval.

'Our two choreographers on the movie, they're really, really good friends [with Jenna]. So I work it out with them and then I go show Jenna for approval,' the actor told the publication.  

Filming for sequel recently commenced in Savannah, Georgia, and Channing has been seen sauntering about the set with his buff arms on full show.

However, Matthew McConaughey will not be reprising his role as Dallas.

'It’s road trip movie and put it this way, it’s different enough that once you see it you’ll understand why we made a sequel,' director Greg Jacobs told IndieWire in September. 

'No one will be accusing us of making the same movie twice,' the director added.
