The bedroom of the future (illustrated) was designed by experts at London-based Betta Living. Their predictions include carpets that switch to wooden beams at the touch of a button, floating beds that are stored in the ceiling, and conceal gym equipment, and personal stylists built into mirrors. These mirrors could also show outfit choices, based on calendar entries or the weather, when connected to a smartphone. The designs also feature bedding with built-in air heating and cooling systems, and smart windows that provide changing views, and double up as TVs. Samsung has already created a similar concept called Transparent Smart Window. The bedroom furniture firm also details how many of these futuristic concepts are already available.
