One Direction have been named Britain's richest young stars.

The boyband have topped Heat magazine's annual under 30 rich list for the second year in a row, pushing Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe into second place once again.

And by the sounds of things, the 25-year-old actor isn't very happy about being beaten by The X Factor runners-up.

Talking to the magazine about his ranking, the Harry Potter star insisted that its calculations weren't fair.

He teased: 'There's five of them so that doesn't count. Not that I care but I am definitely first!

'Money’s a weird thing – I’m lucky because I've always had it so money’s never been a motivating factor in my life.

'The great thing about it is because there is a certain level of stress that is removed but it doesn't solve problems in the world, or relationships or life.’

While Daniel may have a point, the pin-ups of One Direction no doubt appreciate their fortunes having all come from less privileged backgrounds than him.

Despite thier humble beginnings, collectively, Louis Tomlinson, 23, Niall Horan, 21, Zayn Malik, 21, Harry Styles, 20, and 21-year-old Liam Payne have reportedly raked in a humble £77.5 million.

That estimated amassed fortune is an increase of £18.19 million on this time last year.

The jaw-dropping figure is made only more impressive by the fact that the boys have only been working for three years.

One Direction were handpicked and put together on The X Factor in 2011 by Simon Cowell.

Under the music mogul’s guidance, the group made history by becoming the first UK group ever to debut at number one in the Billboard charts with their album Up All Night - achieving what the likes of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones didn't.

Meanwhile, Daniel's estimated amassed fortune is £63.56 million, while Robert Pattinson, who came in third place, earned £51.41 million.

Keira Knightley was the richest female star at number four, with as amassed fortune of £39.95 million, narrowly beating Adele (£36.25 million).

Cara Delevingne was a new addition to the list with £7.49 million, along with media mogul Jamal Edwards with £7.14 million and rockers Mumford & Sons with £6.98 million.
