And on Wednesday, Ellie Goulding looked happy and relaxed as she arrived back home following a quick trip to Los Angeles, where she filmed the new music video of her duet with Calvin Harris.

Dressed in leather skintight pants and an unusual layered jumper, the 27-year-old songstress cut quite the stylish figure as she made her way along the terminals in Heathrow Airport.

She added height to her slender frame with a pair of black suede ankle boots, while shielding her eyes with oversized sunglasses.

Wearing her glossy blonde locks in loose and natural waves, Ellie highlighted her striking facial features with a touch of blush, a slick of pink lipstick and a few swipes of black mascara.

Prior to her flight, the singer tweeted: ‘Hey @VirginAtlantic staff on my flight tonight I can never sleep on the LA-London flight so I will see you all at the bar’.

Ellie Goulding: 'I'm definitely a lot more gown up and worldly'

Ellie has garnered a lot of attention for sexing up her image and wearing more revealing clothes both on stage and the red carpet in recent months.

Defending her fashion choices in an interview earlier this year, she said: 'My management would never force me to do anything, because they know I'm strong-minded.

'I've never been an artist to say "OK, I'll wear that", or "I'll wear less." I just don't want to not make the most out of my body.'

Later in the day, she had changed out of her layered jumper look and was sporting an ever cosier ensemble.

She kept her leather trousers on, but changed her knitwear, this time opting for a much chunkier jumper.

As she headed for lunch with a friend in London, she managed to pull off the tricky-to-wear heavily textured knit, which was black down the middle with creamy-beige sleeves.

She also carried a healthy-looking drink with her, no doubt to keep her feeling fresh amid her hectic, jet-set lifestyle.

And, instead of carrying a traditional handbag, she wore a little black bum-bag on her hip.

While Ellie and Calvin have already teamed up for hit single ‘I Need Your Love’ the stars have come together again for new track ‘Outside’.

The song is the latest offering from Harris’ Motion album, which will be released on October 31.

The LP also boasts a star-studded tracklist with collaborations from Gwen Stefani, Big Sean, Tinashe, John Newman and HAIM.
