Off-duty chic: Jennifer Garner dons faded jeans and a simple black top to run errands in Los Angeles


She's had a busy week, attending both the American Cinematheque gala and the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards.

So Jennifer Garner was taking a well-deserved break from the party circuit on Wednesday morning as she grabbed an iced coffee in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old actress was dressed down in faded denim jeans and a long-sleeved black top with silver detailing on the cuffs.

The Dallas Buyers Club star wore her hair pulled back in a loose ponytail and went make-up free under her sunglasses.

Jennifer sported patent leather loafers as she popped out to the shops.

The star - who has children Violet, eight, Seraphina, five, and Samuel, two, with her husband Ben Affleck - recently revealed she had no plans to share the big screen with her husband.

Asked about the possibility of the pair teaming up on-screen, she told Dish Nation radio station: 'I think it will be a little while... I think don't hold your breath.'

Earlier this week, the 13 Going On 30 star gave a rousing feminist speech at the ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards.

Bemoaning the fact it was 'a little bit sad' to need an event devoted solely to women, she added: 'The "men in Hollywood" event is every day - it’s called Hollywood.

Jennifer also recalled how she and Gone Girl actor Ben compared notes after doing a press day for their respective films, during which she was constantly probed about her 'work/life balance'.

She explained: 'He said no one asked him about it that day.As a matter of fact, no one had ever asked him about it.

'And we do share the same family. Isn’t it time to kinda change that conversation?'
