A wolf in Andrew's clothing! Garfield continues to sport wild and unruly beard at the GQ Ball in NYC
For many years Andrew Garfield has been known as one of Hollywood's fastest rising sex symbols.
But of late the Spider-Man star has been gaining a reputation for his wild and unruly side - specifically his lush brown beard.
Looking wolfishly handsome, the 31-year-old was pictured hitting up the GQ Gentlemen's Ball in New York on Wednesday.

The boyfriend of Emma Stone wore a dashing black tie and suit with a crisp white shirt.
The actor, however, was far from mimicking a dapper James Bond look as he opted for a more rugged appearance.
With his out of control scruff, he was certain to turn heads with the impressive pelt of manly mane.

Fan: While the beard may be for a new role, it could also perhaps be out of his love for fellow movie star Michael J Fox's 1985 cult classic Teen Wolf

Acceptance speech: Andrew was honoured with an award for his support of Worldwide Orphans and Youth Mentoring Connection
While the beard may be for a new role, it could also perhaps be out of his love for fellow movie star Michael J Fox's iconic films from the 1980s.
Specifically his 1985 cult classic Teen Wolf, which tells the story of an average young man in high school who becomes an extraordinary half-man half-wolf creature.
The character's most distinguishing characteristic is his bushy (hirsute) body hair.

Hello: Later that same night the British actor was congratulated by Hollywood colleagues Joshua Jackson and Taylor Kitsch
Ambassador award: Taylor was recognised for his work with the African Children's Choir
Trio of honorees: Andrew and Taylor flanked Joshua who was honoured for his work with Oceana
Raising awareness: Zachary was honoured for his work with The Trejor Project that focuses on suicide prevention among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth

Showing support: George Lopez and Terry Crews also attended the GQ Gentlemen's Ball
Garfield previously told Empire Magazine in 2011 regarding MJ Fox: 'He’s the master, dude. I re-watch Back to the Future every month, I think. I’m still blown away by that film and him in it.'
While at the GQ event Garfield was honoured, taking to the stage to receive an award.
