Forget Fergie time... it's Louis time! Van Persie bags 94th-minute equaliser to deny Mourinho victory over his old mentor Van Gaal

.

MAN UNITED 1-1 CHELSEA - MARTIN SAMUEL AT OLD TRAFFORD: They celebrated as if this was the turning point. Last minute United, twice in a week, back to their best. Hardly. They got away with it. A scramble from a questionable free-kick in the fourth minute of injury time, lashed in by Robin van Persie. A red card for Branislav Ivanovic that most certainly wasn't, and a rejected Chelsea penalty claim that gets more plausible with each viewing. This wasn't United at their best, but perhaps their most fortunate.

MARTIN SAMUEL: Cellino is a tiny monster... how long can we let owners like him ruin great clubs like Leeds United?

.

Darko Milanic is now the third manager to be sacked by Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino since May. Was he any good? Who knows? He had six games, 32 days, before being jettisoned. He didn't win a match in that time but what does that mean? Sometimes, it really doesn't matter who the manager is; just who runs the club. Leeds United, Birmingham City. The basket cases. Does anyone really imagine a simple manager can effect the necessary change, long term?

Van Persie is most at fault in this awful piece of United defending for Drogba goal

MARTIN KEOWN: Ironically, it was the man who was supposed to be marking the space who is most to blame for Chelsea's goal. Robin van Persie's position is far too deep, he should be nearer the six-yard line, ready to attack the ball. Instead, when it comes in, he melts away towards the goal-line rather than attacking the ball.

Drogba is still the bully in the box... the legendary Chelsea striker is living the dream again

.

THE INSIDE TRACK - NEIL ASHTON: When the celebrations had finally subsided and Didier Drogba was dragged off his knees, he raised his hand in the direction of Jose Mourinho. JAMIE REDKNAPP: City are suffering from second-season syndrome... they might not be showing enough respect to opponents

.

JAMIE REDKNAPP: The way Man City are at the minute, you have to wonder if they'll go the same way as the last time they won the title. When Roberto Mancini won in 2012, they couldn't replicate it the next season, struggling in the Champions League and finishing 11 points behind Man United. If that was a bad defence to their title then, if City aren't careful, this one could be even worse.

Song

It was only on Friday that Sam Allardyce was mentioning Alex Song in the same breath as Yaya Toure. 24 hours later, he produced a Toure-esque performance as West Ham rocked Man City. Song was simply immense, patrolling the midfield, fetching and carrying, disrupting City's creative play and acting as the battering ram for West Ham's forward play. It all begs the question as to why a bigger club didn't move for the Barcelona man.

PATRICK COLLINS, CHIEF SPORTS WRITER: Harry Redknapp understands the art of self-preservation better than most after more than 30 years in football management. His performance after QPR's latest defeat, in which he slammed Adel Taarabt as overweight and unfit to play, was taken straight from the play-book he helped to write. This was a case of a desperate manager seeking a diversion and there is no excuse for such insulting ignorance.

Where, though, is the evidence to support that? Angel di Maria has scored three goals in five appearances since his £59.7million switch in August and will be the headline act at The Hawthorns on Monday night. Mesut Ozil, by contrast, finds himself enduring more frustrations this weekend.
