Something to hide? Kylie Jenner gets camera shy as she is questioned about rumoured relationship with rapper Tyga

She may have made her name on reality TV but Kylie Jenner was decidedly shy when spotted out in Los Angeles on Saturday. 

The 17-year-old starlet has recently returned from a trip to Europe with rumoured beau Tyga, 24, but was less than forthcoming when questioned about him by photographers near her home in Calabasas. 

Kylie, wearing shorts and thigh-high boots, covered her face with her hands as she ran errands.

Kylie's reticent display came just after her mother Kris Jenner insisted that was not dating Tyga while on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM radio show on Tuesday.

'Kylie isn’t dating anybody,' confirmed the 58-year-old momager, who's promoting her cookbook In the Kitchen with Kris.

'This whole little group of kids who have been around forever, and I call them kids because relatively speaking, they kind of all travel as a pack and they enjoy each other’s company.

'We all live in the same neighborhood. [Tyga] used to live across the street for a long time, and now he lives next door to Khloe.' 

Speculation about their relationship reached an all-time high after Kylie joined the hip-hop star - born Michael Nguyen-Stevenson - in France, where they were photographed together, and reportedly Switzerland, and Greece.

She was also spotted in London with him where he attended the MOBO Awards on Wednesday. 

A source exclusively told MailOnline that Kylie was in Tyga's car when he pulled up but did not get out. 

Tyga - whose real name is Michael Nguyen-Stevenson - has been friends with Kylie  for some time but things are alleged to have turned romantic between the pair after he split with his fiancee Blac Chyna.

The rapper and his model partner - who is good friends with Kylie's sister Kim Kardashian - called off their engagement in August.

The former couple, who have two-year-old son King Cairo together, had been dating for almost three years.

And one fan was so horrified about rumours of his relationship with Kylie, that they posted a nasty message under an Instagram picture of Tyga and his son. 

@smartchik78 wrote 'Nasty ass pedophile..your career and family is worth losing over this Kardashian baby thot @kyliejenner..I hope @blacchyna takes you away from your son..you should be locked up (sic).'

Tyga - who has previously denied dating Kylie - was furious and hit back. 

He wrote on Monday: '@smartchik78 why u sound so hateful. U don’t know s**t bout my life but the fake s**t u read online. Worry about your sad boring life. U wish u can have a baby by a n***a like me and live this lifestyle.let me guess no one wants u or ever attempted to spoil u and give u the world like I do for mines. Your ugly not just physically but in your soul. Never speak on on my son.'
